We stayed at the Palace hotel to attend a charity ball, the hotel was lovely, comfy beds and very clean . All the staff were so lovely especially the receptionist .
Good location, easy check in and lovely staff
Clean, good food, free parking
The staff were really friendly. The restaurant food was excellent.
The hotel needs a bit of an upgrade.
Location was excellent as attending an event at the hotel. Lady on reception on 14/16 was lovely . Very welcoming . Very comfortable bed and pillows.
Mould around bath.
The meal in the restaurant was beautiful and the staff were very cordial, nothing was too much trouble.
The breakfast was poor .What was left at 9.30 was swimming in grease when I opted for the hot breakfast I should have scoped it out first.I then asked for a croissant and they had run out .I did complain and was not charged
very clean, comfortable and a great central location
Breakfast was 'OK'. I was down to the later part of the sitting and the bacon and sausage they served me were obviously cooked some time before, to the point you couldn't cut the bacon, but snap it. Sausages were similar. Also disappointed not to have Tatty scones on the breakfast menu, the sautéed potatoes were not, they were tinned potatoes cut in half.
We had our dogs with us.The hotel and staff were very accommodatingBreakfast was plentiful and tasty
The hotel was well located. The room was super comfortable and clean. The staff were so friendly they really made the stayWhen I turned up with a dirty bike from a day off road (having emailed them in advance to say I had a bike) they quickly ensured I had somewhere safe to put the bike. They were wonderful
I had no issue with the property
I stayed after a Christmas meal in the front room. The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was superb with a good range of continental and cooked items
Clean room with very comfortable bedLots of parking & a great location for work & pubsNice food in the restaurant
Could do with a socket next to the kettle
Great location, friendly staff amd comfy room. Large breakfast and plenty options.
Bathroom could be done with updating.
The Palace was a great place to stay for us visiting family in the area. The room was quite spacious and very clean. The breakfasts were great and the staff were lovely.
There was some confusion over where our pet was allowed to go in the hotel. We specifically queried on arrival whether he could join us in the dining room for breakfast and were told emphatically - yes. So imagine our surprise when we were approached by the manager at breakfast informing us that our pet shouldn't be in the dining room. Embarrassing to say the least! Maybe the staff need to be briefed better!
Slightly disappointed have stayed here before but I think the breakfast was not as good as when we previously stayed.
Lorne sausage instead of links making g it a true Scottish breakfast.
Politeness of reception and all staff. Excellent service and quality of food in the restaurant.
The weather was appaling
Parking very convenient. Rooms comfortable.Centrally located.
No elevator to our floor however staff brought luggage to our room.
The receptionist was excellent. Warm, and efficient. Many thanks
Good sized rooms very tasty breakfast
