Nothing all great
Size of room, comfort of bed.Easy to find.Friendly staff.Good breakfast.Easy parking.
Noisy sink taps
Very clean and tidy room. Lovely and warm and very comfortable bed.
Our room was really spacious and nicely decorated. There was a decent offering of tea and coffee and a working kettle. The water was lovely and hot, however it was very very hot so be careful not to get burnt! There were lots of little amenities provided in the bathroom like robes, toothbrushes and paste. When we arrived there was a huge party going on but we couldn’t hear it at all in our room which was quiet thé whole time. Good amount of parkingThe breakfast was basic but nice if you got the full English but very limited if getting the continental. The hotel seemed very quiet so that may be why. The reception staff were friendly and gave good advice about what to do in the area. The views were fantastic as well and they’d taken a lot of care to make the hotel look festive.
When we arrived thé fridge was broken and while they replaced it thé next day it did mean that our food and the milk we’d brought for our baby went off.We had booked for two adults and two children. À baby cot was provided but no duvet or pillows for our other child who was sleeping on the sofa bed. When the lady kindly brought new linens, they were stained but I didn’t have the heart to complain about another issue so we just accepted it. There were some small things missed by the cleaners like coffee stains on our coffee table and the cups at the breakfast were stained and had lipstick marks still on them. Water taps and toilet sound like a steam train so cant be used through the night.Plugs near the beds but could use an upgrade to USB ports to be more accessible to international visitors.
Food was fantastic, room very large
Windows are not double glazed and it was quite noisy
Hotel staff excellent.. Food good. Room good. Really good with our dog Hugo.
Hard to find a dog walk but managed around property.
Room was big and bed comfortable
Don’t stay when there is a wedding on, inconsiderate guests, children running up and down the corridor late at night shouting banging on doors. Windows in room would not close properly, could hear music from wedding, room outdated, room service food expensive and not that nice, would not recommend staying at this hotel when much nicer ones down the road.
The breakfast & service staff were excellent despite being busy with a wedding party. We stayed at the hotel as we were meeting friends for a pre Christmas get together at The Black Horse - their own accommodation was fully booked, but they recommended The Beamish Park Hotel.
The cleanliness of the accommodation was not of a high standard - the back of the bathroom door was dirty, and there were 2 bloody thumb marks on the door & sink. The overall quality of the accommodation was average, on a par with a Premier Inn, but much more expensive.
This was our 4th Christmas visit to the hotel, again the food was exceptional and the room very clean and comfortable.Breakfast as always was lovely and the staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Great location, short drive to both Beamish museum and Durham. On a bus route to Newcastle Staff were all so friendly and helpful Restaurant food was great...huge portions and sensible pricesEverywhere was clean and smartBonus was having a room that had parking right up to our patio window. Especially good when the weather was appalling!
No heating controls in the room...it was always lovely and warm but a couple of times it might have been nice to be able to turn it down a little at night.
Staff at the wedding were all exceptional, polite and very helpful. They are all a fantastic asset to the hotel. The views were amazing and unspoilt. The food was fantastic and very tasty.Beautiful surroundings and in a beautiful location, the wedding was fantastic from start to finish
Staff very friendly, rooms excellent size and spotless.
Food hotel staff and location.
Great Hotel - local for Beamish Open Museum. Food and Service was great.Parking outside room made for easy access with luggage.
Location was lovely. Great views. Friendly staff.
Didn’t like walking through the wedding ceremony room.
The breakfast room was nice. The hot water was welcome after a long drive.
Everything is tired, feels old, like a motel, needs updating not what we expected, as well as the horrible smell as you walk through what looks like a corridor, but filled with wedding seats etc. Room service forgot, did not arrive even after an hour, had to go and ask where it was, after a long drive we could have done without that. We both looked at each other, we would not stay again.
We spent 2 nights there and we have never been to such a pet friendly hotel, it made our stay even better knowing we could take our little dog with us when we went for breakfast ( they even had a sausage for her breakfast) and so pleased we even had our evening meal there, as there was no need for us to go out and look for somewhere to eat.Would definitely stay again and all ready recommended it to friends with dogs.
Nothing everything was fine
