enthusiasm of the staff

arrangement for parking. hotel should park your car and go and fetch it for this star rating. also lack of parking is not mentioned in write ups. staff good but lack of management meant it had no real focus and felt bitty.

Excellent restaurant, friendly helpful staff and clean and comfortable room

very helpful & freindly staff. Nice atmosphere in the dinning room for breakfast and had dinner one evening which was first class. Room was lovely in style & decor.Very positive thing was that a parking permit was available for the public car park.

The location is fantastic. One member of staff was very nice she was on reception and waitress. She had a lovely manner at all times

The room was in the attic, so the head room was very difficult. My husband spent all his time bent trying to avoid hitting his head, which, unfortunately, he did several times . Breakfast was nice. However, both mornings, the order was incorrect. The two chiefson duty both mornings were having an argument their language was unsavoury to say the least. They used the F word several occasions and did not care about us sat having breakfast.

The room was furnished to a good standard and was clean, but space was limited (no wardrobe) and the windows were initially difficult to open which limited our ability to regulate the temperature.The Xpelair in the bathroom wasn't working which turned the room into a sauna after every shower.

Limited uncooked options for breakfast, but otherwise food and service for dinner and breakfast were very good. Closer carparking would have been welcome.

Slight unidentifiable smell in the room.Water flow from sink tap was very very slow and pop-up plug was not working.

The location was perfect for a stay in Kirkby Lonsdale.The staff were really nice and helpful, breakfast was substantial and tasty. The room was on the small side but we had only booked and standard room and was fitting for the old building.

The room was a little too warm for my husband, this was without heating and the window wide open. Maybe a ceiling fan could help to circulate the air.

Everything at Platos was exceptional. They have an exceptional team in the smooth running of their hotel Sadly we had a sudden death of a relative while in the hotel & the care & compassion we received were over & above exceptional.Highly recommend this amazing this amazing hotel

Amazing hotel right in the middle of a vibrant village!!! Staff and rooms were amazing with breakfast being incredible even with my food allergies! Only small let down would’ve been the parking situation, whilst the venue offers a parking permit for free parking near to booths in the town centre this does NOT guarantee a space. In regard to parking the best options is past the orange tree pub on the side of the road. Bar the parking situation the stay was flawless with the room being in excellent condition and the staff being very attentive!

Shower bath not user friendly

Location excellent, on the Main Street. Room was really lovely and they very kindly gave us an upgrade. At the top with window facing the street. Bath House toiletries - lovely! Breakfast was really delicious. We didn’t eat or drink in the bar as only there one night. Great little bedside reading books and magazines. Tea and coffee and biscuits in room - nice touch. Everything really nice .

Lovely place old property on the heart of the townHad a minor issue with our room but this was speeding resolved and we were upgraded at no charge .Owner and staff excellent nothing to much trouble only issue felt that restaurant was a little overpriced trying too hard to be up market and not quite managing it.Overall though staff lovely location great and property full of character would certainly strongly recommend

Beautiful building in the best location . seating area in dinning area room could do with freshening up, breakfast was really nice with plenty to choose from. . Bedroom & bathroom was nice & very clean.
