Allerdale Court Hotel

The property was in an excellent location. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Great value. Paige, the lady that checked us in was wonderful. Very friendly, just what you need when you’ve travelled along way. Nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic asset to the hotel.

We travelled with a small dog so breakfast was in a dark side room, perhaps could have been seated where we had our evening meal in the bar the previous night ( with the dog) Felt a little bit forgotten. Had to ask for cups, glasses and to order food. Nonetheless, when the food arrived it was fantastic, great value. Good amount of choice on the breakfast menu.

Lovely hotel, staff were friendly and helpful, dinner and breakfast were excellent and the price was value for money. We stayed there one night so we could drive to Buttermere the next morning to park up early for a day walking.

Our room was a small double and was rather on the small side so if you want a bit more room choose a standard double.

The staff were so friendly and accomodating, would happily stay again. Room clean, spacious and breakfast was amazing!

Everything was spotless, staff were very friendly, breakfast was cooked to order. The hotel is situated in a central location, making it ideal to get around. We would definitely book again.

The only fault was the couple whom were situated next door to us…too much row! Unfortunately we are fully aware this sometimes can’t be avoided. Old building, thin walls etc. However this doesn’t reflect on the overall experience In Cockermouth, and our stay.

No parking with hotel. Local car park is £6 a day (overnight) with MiPermit.

Staff were exceptional, very welcoming, went the extra mile. Great food and beer. Huge room and lovely rainfall shower. Games on the tables were a brilliant touch helping to pass the time until the food arrived on a busy night for the restaurant.

It’s extremely noisy, and probably not the best pick for young families due to this. I would recommend possibly asking for a room at the back of the hotel if you have kids. The staff kindly turned the music in the restaurant down, but then the noise from revellers, locals beeping their horns, traffic/taxis, then the guest upstairs pacing the floor for half the night, it wasn’t a great night sleep-wise. The room was really hot as the radiators were on full when we arrived. We’d usually love the warmth but it really was too hot unfortunately. We had to keep opening the sash window to make the room cooler but then would have to close it again due to the noise. It’s a centrally placed hotel but we probably stayed on one of the busier nights in town (Saturday).

Excellent location, staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was excellent! We've stayed here a number of times and always enjoyed our stay. The Hotel is central but not noisy and is within easy walking distance of pubs and restaurants in Cockermouth.

Nothing, we were very happy with all aspects of our stay.

On arrival greeted by a very friendly lady on reception. Our rooms were exceptional, very spacious, spotlessly clean and warm. The very large bathrooms again were so clean they shone. The shower, over a huge corner bath, was fantastic. Great nights sleep with no disturbances from inside the hotel. All the staff were super friendly. Breakfast gave lots of choice and was exceptional. The location was perfect for a stay in this charming market town.

There is literally nothing to improve on. Could not fault anything. If I could give 11/10 I would. To get such quality for the price we paid was incredible.
