Food and location

It was a bit dated and very small room

The breakfast service was excellent. Staff are really friendly and approachable. Rooms were cleaned to an excellent standard and the room temperature was very good.

The shower pressure left a little to be desired. There was a minor mistake where I was given another persons room by accident but this was quickly remedied.The overall décor was slightly dated and in some places a bit tired, however this did not ruin the experience,

Bed

We booked two rooms and both were 10 rooms apart.

Friendly service, food excellent, staff went above and beyond.

Didnt like anything about this hotel

Rooms dirty mold round bath carpets stained and dirty Duvet was filthy

Bed was comfy staff were friendly and accommodating. Plenty of selection for breakfast

Nothing I didn't like

The breakfast area was spacious with good selection

We felt the room was rather tired although bathroom was quite modern

1. The hotel is in poor condition throughout 2. No hot water in the room either from taps or electric shower3. The hotel smell was pungent with old greedy food The staff where pleasant and helpful

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. My room was upgraded from a single to a double at no extra cost. Location was very quiet. Very near to town centre. Breakfast was very good.

Although I had free parking, in busier times this might be a problem.

It’s a really old building so you have to expect some quirks, the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Janet who seems to be there 24 hours a day!! The food was home cooked and very tasty.

The staff were cheery and helpful. The breakfast was good and the breakfast room was pleasant.

The hotel stairways are disgusting. Dirtiest I have ever seen. My room (room 5) was very tired and looked like a full refurb is long overdue. Stayed here for a long time over the years but wont be going back. Looks like its been used for contractor accommodation. Not good at all.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food in the pub was lovely- lots of choice and very nice. Good value too. Perfect for attending speedway in working

I found the bed too soft and the room too hot. However the night porter did tell me how I could turn off the radiator to reduce the heat.

The family room was light airy and spacious with connecting rooms, there was a tv in each room, a king sized bed in one a 2 singles in the other. The comfiest beds ever and very fresh linen. Staff were welcoming and friendly, bar area was nice and breakfast was plentiful and tasty

All the stairs as no lift, but not a problem if you can manage them

The staff were friendly, and very helpful, close to all the transport hubs, and the shopping areas.Upgraded to a double room which was much appreciated.The room was clean, airy and well equipped.

Good breakfast and clean dining room

There is no free parking at the hotel, the room - room 2 was dirty and extremely dusty, sheets had spots on them, the window did not close properly and let's cold air in. There was no chair in the room.

As with most hotels it looks minimal staff the staff cannot do more for the guests they are fantastic from checking in to talking to the night porter everyone was just amazing

Could do with a bit of updating and a bit of paint
