- This place is a little treasure. The staff are lovely and really chatty and interesting. The food is great, rooms are comfortable. You can walk to Chatsworth House across the fields which is how Jane Austen would have done it (beautiful!).
- Staffs are so nice , food is very good both breakfast & dinner, and bed so comfortable.
- Super friendly staff , large room with bath ,lovely walks nearby
Cons -
- It is on the main road, and my room was at the front. But actually it was not as loud as I thought it might be! I only woke up once.
- The road noise and verging on rude breakfast service from a French(?) waiter
- The room was a little warm but we do like a cold room. We opened the windows and were fine.

A very friendly welcome. Our room (5) was a great size with a really good shower.
The room was a little warm but we do like a cold room. We opened the windows and were fine.
The staff is absolutely charming and very friendly, breakfast is exquisite with vegan and vegetarian options. Location is incredible right next to the gates of Chatsworth.
This is a beautiful building with humble restoration. It's quite noisy due to highway. Cleaning needs to improve a lot.
Friendliness of all staff.. cleanliness of the room. Perfect location for our short stay.
The room was warm and comfortable.
We asked for our meal to be hot and it wasn't.
the location was great, bed was super comfy, the room was clean loved the stay
for the price i paid thought breakfast would have been included
Great location and good car park. Really friendly staff.
N/A. All good.
Great Property.Spot on clean, excellent pub, super welcoming staff. Will definitely recommend?
Historic coach house! Great food downstairs, good wifi, people at desk very friendly. Close to bus routes to main stops of the Peak District if you’d like to visit the towns. Walkable to ‘Pemberley’!
Bathroom could use a remodel.
Everything! Great rooms, lovely staff, and delicious food!
The Food was excellent, served fast and hot. The room was very comfortable and clean.
some of the decor is showing its age and some of the windows are in dire need of replacing. The pub closed very early, maybe its the time of year but 9:00 pm is really too early.
Recently renovated bathroom and large comfortable bed. Nice warm and cosy bar and restaurant area.
Very close to a busy main road which was noisy all night. Old windows as to be expected with a building of this age but no double glazing to help with soundproofing.
Everything was excellent however the one thing we missed was a lift as we had three heavy suitcases to take upstairs. We were aware of that when we booked and it would ruin the old hotel to do that and a young man helped us up with our cases. The atmosphere, room sizes, cleanliness, service and food were all excellent.
No lift but that was anticipated.
Convenient location for visiting Chatsworth with adequate parking. Room comfortable.
The dining area overlooking the beer garden needs some refurbishment in terms of replacing windows.
CleanGreat location to ChatsworthFriendly staffGreat stay
No complaints Great stay
Warm. Plenty of parking.
Very tired decor,badly worn carpets,rotten window frames,noisy.
Room was large, clean and the bed was very comfortable.
There were no towel rails in the bathroom and the room would have benefited from having a comfortable chair to sit on.
