A very pleasant hotel with attentive staff and a pleasant ambience.

Lovely location, room 1 was a good size.
The gas fire didn’t work. The hotel had a corporate vibe. £25 for the dog was a bit cheeky
Very comfortable hotel, with a suprisingly good restaurant doing all meals (it seems all restaurants of the Black Sheep Hotels group are good). The room is cozy, with some amenities inside such as water, a kettle, tea and biscuits.
Excellent Indian food!!!! Lovely big room (room 14) with wonderful furnishings. Staff was great.
Bed was very firm.
The room was excellent with robes and slippers for us to use.
I think the rooms should have smart tvs so that you could watch Netflix or Prime movies. The channel choices were limited.
Just about everything! Attention to detail, extremely helpful staff and excellent food in particular.
We had a slight issue with ordering small selected cooked breakfast items and being presented with massive and overwhelming platefuls of everything because the chef 'wanted to do it that way'!
This was a really cute stay. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. We loved all the little details that make this obviously a boutique hotel. Plus the restaurant was fantastic! Both for dinner and breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.
Nothing, it was all great.
Spotlessly clean, tastefully appointed, quality furniture & linen, friendly staff, satisfying breakfast, charming location.
The building is beautiful and you feel like you're going back in time with the architecture and decorations of this place. The breakfast was lovely and the staff was very friendly. I could easily see folks staying here for a weekend and biking around and relaxing.
Initially it felt that there wasn't flexibility for the check-in as we were arriving later than initially planned and instructions weren't clear. However it just meant the front door was closed and we needed to call someone upon arriving. So they were flexible but we did worry we wouldn't be able to stay initially. I think the rooms aren't very sound proof as I could hear other folks in the morning but it wasn't a bother. Just wondered if others heard us when we arrived so late.
An amazing place! We loved the food, the room, the area, everything!
Great atmosphere, authentic looking design nested in nature.
The floor above is very creaky, you can hear the movements of the guest in the room above you.
Beautiful property- large, clean rooms. Dinner at the restaurant was best we had during our week in Scotland.
Very unique, distinctive, enjoyed the design touches, plates and cups. Service was excellent in the restaurant. Breakfast was amazing
The design of the hotel (both exterior and interior), room interior (authentic), cleanness, staff and all the small details in room (like welcome chocolate on the bed etc.) - more like 5 star experience. You can see that management knows what they are doing and how to make hotel well kept and always spotless. Good breakfast and dinner.
One thing is more related to design of the hotel (old manor style) - it has original wooden floors, so it means if you are on first floor, squeaks when someone is walking on the floor above are pretty annoying. And overall soundproofing could be better.
We arrived very late and staff was accommodating and kind as we arrived at midnight. Rooms well appointed with comfortable beds. Breakfast had great variety and delicious!
Notthing not to like!
We had the most incredible 5 night stay at Rokeby Manor from May 7th-12th. The hotel itself is situated in the perfect location for all of your Highland adventures - 90 minutes from Skye, 90 minutes from Oban, 60 minutes to Inverness, 60 minutes to Glencoe, 30 minutes to Fort William. Close to plenty of incredible pullouts and areas for picture taking. As for the stay itself, it was everything you could want. The friendliest staff - always smiling and willing to help. We wanted to visit a farm while in country, and brought it up to the hotel manager. He did all of the leg work for us and scheduled a tour with Halcyon Farms. Phenomenal!Clean, cozy, and nicely furnished rooms. A big roomy shower and bathroom. Huge parking lot with loads of spots. Breakfast was continental/buffet style with lots of choices, and if you wanted porridge, an omelette, or eggs from the kitchen - they're included, free of charge. We ate dinner at the restaurant three times we were there, and each time, it was exceptional. The Indian food on the menu is some of the best we've ever eaten. It simply felt like a home away from home for the five days we were there.
Lovely property with old time charm. Great food, particularly the Indian. Highly recommended!!
