- Cozy, warm, welcoming. The food was outstanding and service brilliant. The tasting menu by chef Callum was an absolute delight. Breakfast was beautiful. The staff were very friendly, kind and the right level of chatty.
- Very Clean, Very Comfortable, Staff amazing and friendly. Food and drink options outstanding, Meals are sensational and locally sourced. You would not want to the leave the property, the views and village surrounding the area is amazing.
- The hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent.
Cons -
- The bathroom sadly has no windows, so that the fan has difficulty drying the room after a shower.
- The remoteness, however it is what it is and we were aware prior to booking.
- Given the price I was expecting a much bigger bedroom. In fact, the bedroom was very small, had no AC and did not have much cupboard space. The cupboard was too small to put the ironing board into if you wanted to access the drawers or the fridge. The breakfast buffet was really limited: tiny ready made boxes of cereal and a small fruit bowl. Was expecting much more!

We can’t speak highly enough of Edinbane Lodge. Everything about the property exceeded our expectations. The staff were very attentive to our needs and could not have done more for us. Special mention to Alan in the Customer Service and Whiskey bar who is a fantastic guy and really looked after us. The staff in the breakfast area could not have been better. One sort pf negative is that the area is remote and there is not much around the actual lodge but that was easily overcome with a short drive.Highly recommend the lodge and make sure to try one of Alan’s Martini’s!
The remoteness, however it is what it is and we were aware prior to booking.
There were lots of little touches, that did add something special like the homemade shortbread in the room; the local pottery mugs, the little milk jug in the fridge. The bathroom was beautiful and Ultra modern with a huge bath and its own TV, including waterproof remote control! The bedroom had a little outside area near a stream, which was lovely, but the weather did not allow us to use that. The dinner, which we had one night was very special, the restaurant had accommodated all our dietary requirements, and dishes were beautifully and artistically presented. We appreciated that all the ingredients were locally and sustainably sourced, including the restaurant having its own farm. Things like homemade bread at breakfast were wonderful, as were the non vegetarian cooked options. The staff were very friendly and professional.

Nice rooms and hotel spaces.excellent and knowledge staff
Drinks over priced
Bed was amazing. Staff went above and beyond. Felt immediately like we were family and they wanted to show us around like a local. The breakfast was top notch.
Beautiful mix modern /traditional . Excellent staff at all levels . Room perfect . Restaurant gorgeous and food excelled even high expectations . Very nice and friendly fellow guests .
Needs small one metre shelter from room to reception it is Skye and it is wet lol
The staff packed us a breakfast to go as we left very early the following morning, which was very nice. The dinner at the restaurant was excellent and the staff was very helpful and professional
nothing to report
Clean with lovely country feel. Food was amazing and staff friendly
That the restaurant was closed on Saturday night and the food was delicious so we wanted to go again.
Huge rooms, clean and very very comfortable with complementary coffee, tea, shortbread and water. Biiiig amazing bathroom. Lovely receptionist helped with our luggage and parking is right next to the Lodge. Breakfast was nice as well, no problems with checkout. Bar is open as well!
If you’re not pre booked for the restaurant there, you should definitely grab some dinner on your way there, else it’ll be hard to find something suitable. Also very expensive… But it was really nice
It is a very nice hotel on Isle of Sky and we especially liked the restaurant and our dinning experience. The food was great, the service was impeccable with attention to every detail. I would highly recommend to come her for dinner if you like gourmet experience. In the room itself, I liked the beds, the shower and the towels - very comfortable. We had our own patio area on the back but could not really use it because of the weather. The hotel staff was very friendly and very customer oriented. Highly recommend to stay here.
I expected the room itself to be a bit bigger, but in fact it was spacious enough with a separate wardrobe area and big bathroom.
The property was lovely and very high class. The room was spacious and luxurious. The bathroom had a shower and a tub! And there was a separate sitting area. The staff were so friendly and helpful! We had some rental car trouble, and they helped me make phone calls and let me use the phone in the lobby when the phone in our room wouldn’t connect internationally, which really reduced my stress. The place was so relaxing!
It was a little out of the way and the food was very expensive. Although it was award winning and delicious.
Excellent in every way. Best food on Isle of Skye, close to Dunvegan castle. A great spot to visit the isle. Lovely friendly staff.
Bedrooms are upstairs, after a grueling hike up Ben Nevis, it was a challenge to hike up the stairs but that’s my fault.
The place was beautiful. Decor, size, comfort, facilities, the extra touches - all amazing! Breakfast was fantastic.
We thought we were going to be able to have dinner at the in house restaurant but sadly it was not opened on Saturday night. So ended up going to a pub around the corner for very a very poor quality meal. But given the location and after a day of driving, the location doesn’t allow many alternative options.
Had a wonderful dinner. Never had a tasting menu like that. Was delicious!! Amazing! The staff was perfect! Hard working and friendly! Thank you!
It’s very clean and comfortable and a walk to a nearby pub
Unfortunately they don’t serve dinner on Saturday or Sunday - if they did it would get 10/10
Nice property and I’d rate it higher except it’s way over priced. More than twice as much as every other place we’ve stayed in Scotland and not that much nicer. Also got our beds wrong. Breakfast was good and staff is friendly.
Far too expensive for what you get.
Centrally located to access the whole of SkyeGreat tasting experience meal
Not a lot of other food close by but we managed by going to Dunvegan Several choices there
Traditional but tastefully renovated
Climbing into the bath to use the shower
