Pros +
- All of the food was well prepared and delicious. We had more than enough to eat and snack on. Our cottage was nicely stocked with drink options including tea and hot chocolate. The bathrooms were very spacious, and the separate tub was wonderful! The beds were also very comfortable. The staff was exceptional as well. We had car trouble on the way had a 4 hr delay due to a flat tire. When I called the hotel, they were so understanding and concerned for our wellbeing. They knew exactly where we were and called me a few times to check on us. We finally arrived at about 9pm and they had soup and sandwiches waiting for us. We also loved how inviting the island is. You are encouraged to explore at your own pace even in the rain!!There are harry coos, horses and goats to delight you and the coast line is stunning. My friends and I loved everything about our stay at Isle of Eriska!
- Location amazing!!! The staff were polite and very attentive. Accommodation was excellent, with quality finishes.Afternoon tea a little underwhelming.Evening meal excellent but expensive.

Cons -
- Having a fan in the room would be a nice option.
- Overpriced food & drink limited choice ie tasting menus only,
- Dogs not allowed anywhere in hotel - not restaurant, or bar or lounge, so we were put in a small conservatory, on our own, eating a superb meal crouched over a low-level coffee-table, which rather knocked the shine off the experience.

Attentive staff and excellent and exceptional food! Remote and quiet.
We were grateful for a room upgrade to a lovely big room on top floor, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Dinner excellent!

Location, remoteness, relaxing, friendly environment with staff & guests and spa facilities
The location being on a private island was very unique and special. The hotel and grounds are lovely and we really enjoyed the spa, especially the heated recliners with views across the island. The food was excellent. The walks around the island were wonderful, and we loved seeing the Highland Cows and ponies.
At first we thought the evening eating arrangements would be too limited, with only a fixed price menu in the restaurant for dinner, but we booked this one night of our stay and has to be said the food was superb. We were so glad we did. We also had the bar menu for lunch and an early dinner another eve which was again very nice. The Deck Restaurant has limited opening hours the time of year we were staying. However we were more than happy with all the meals we ate on site despite initial reservations of limited options.
Very friendly staff, two good restaurants and excellent spa. Located next to the waterfront with private beach.
It’s a beautiful, older estate house which has been turned into a hotel. It has a wonderful wood burning fireplace and lots of places to sit and relax. They can arrange for you to go to the Isle of Mull and we did falconry on the property, which we loved.
It is not really close to anything, but we did not want to stay in Oban (the nearest town)
Great place overall and thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was superb.
Minor issue with the cleanliness of the throw on the bed although the staff handled it really well.
The staff was attentive, strong shower and decent bathroom. Food was very good, beyond my expectations
The road into the property is narrow and quite long, so not a place you want to go out for dinners. A place to stay and explore the island at your leisure.
Amazing scenery. The facilities are fantastic and the staff is super friendly. It really feels like you're a guest. The island is amazingly beautiful.
The wifi in the room was a bit spotty.
Stunning location. Tranquil and staff were impeccable. Attentive to every detail. Food was exceptional.
A mini fridge in the room for milk would be good
many activities available - explore the island and spa to relax
it's on an island of it's own and difficult to explore outside restaurant options.
We loved the Spa Suite which was huge. The location was stunning and the walks around the grounds were great. We dined at the Deck restaurant where the food was fabulous and the view pretty stunning too.
Staff attentiveness was moderate. Having never been before, the arrangements for breakfast were a little confusing and not explained to us on arrival - we had similar for the evening meal where we were left for quite a while before being able to order more of the amazing tapas dishes. Also our breakfast order was incorrect (very minor inconvenience).
Long driveway but lovely setting with fabulous Spa.
Lots of stairs and no air conditioning in room.

Poor
The service was atrocious and absolutely undeserving of 5 stars - a single egg for breakfast took over 40 minutes to be cooked, and in general there's not enough cooks in the kitchen to cater to all the guests, although the meal areas were half empty. There are either no servers in the tea/bar areas or they ignore you. The rooms are small, dark and have no ventilation, the only source of fresh air is a window, which attracts many insects inside the room. When we arrived there was only one person at the reception desk, which meant that he needed to tend to other customers and carry all of our luggage alone - we helped, of course, but there is definitely not enough staff to cover the hotel. We were asked to plan our activities around THEIR schedule insgead of our own. It would make sense with a lower price tag or for a family owned business, but it's so far from who they claim to be. The area itself is lovely and the nature is beautiful, but that is it.
We wanted a quiet, relaxing spa experience in a luxury setting, this did not disappoint.
Loved it all, isolated, private, quiet, relaxing and excellent service.
Location and ambience. Also the authentic feel of being on an island and a Scottish castle.
The price of the dinner at the Restsurant was a bit too high but the food quality was good.
