About
Set on the shores of Loch Lomond in the historic village of Luss, The Loch Lomond Arms is a boutique coaching inn at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands. Each of our individually styled rooms is named after a member of the Colquhoun family, the clan who have shaped this stretch of the loch for generations, giving every stay a sense of history and place. Dine at The Stag & Two Hounds, our pub in the heart of the village, where a locally leaning drinks selection and hearty, seasonal food set the scene for the best conversations in the building. Guests can arrange a range of experiences to make the most of the Highlands, from off-road driving and luxury loch cruises to speedboat trips and guided walking tours, whether you're chasing adventure or a slower pace, we're perfectly placed to be your base. Guests are just steps from the loch itself, with easy access to Glasgow, Glencoe, and the wider Highlands beyond.

- Comfy beds and pillows, nice food
- The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and friendly. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, the food and service was really good. Excellent value for money. Great location.Would highly recommend
- Staff were lovely, breakfast was great, good value for money, view from the room was great for seeing highland cows which we love!
Cons -
- The food was very expensive and you didn’t get a lot, also wait staff took ages to attend to me, although I do appreciate they were busy
- Everything was great but the bathroom in the room we were staying in needed some work done on it the lindsay room
- There was nothing not to like. The hotel is in an area of worldwide outstanding natural beauty. I have been in this village numerous times and was a wee bit surprised to see a new addition to the village: a lochside sauna in which some girls were enjoying the cold, (2 degrees) on a January morning mist, wind and rain. And some wild water swimmers who had brought a gazebo for shelter and privacy on the bonnie banks.Fab time doing nothing at all. Nice touches with nods to the Clan Colquhoun throughout the hotel.

All of the hotel staff were friendly, professional, helpful, kind, and attentive to patrons. The hotel is impecably clean, welcoming, and warm and has comfortable furnishings as well as roaring open fires in public areas. The dinner was lovely with hearty plates, and food prices were reasonable to eat at the hotel.

Beautiful, well maintained accommodation
Crossing the main road. There should be traffic lights/zebra crossing/bridge to access the hotel, in my opinion. I felt the road was a dangerous crossing with young children.
I loved the decor and the atmosphere of the hotel. Friendly and most attentive staff.
Lack of tongs to select bread for breakfast.
Very cosy and charming pub / hotel with wonderful fireplaces. Staff were very welcoming and professional / great service and warm. Food and wine were really good quality and the oysters were delicious.
Rooms should be refursbished to make it look just a bit more neater and modern.
Its character , the food and the staff were amazing
Disappointing
Being ignored by two young waiting staff. Trying to get served for 30 mins before deciding to leave
Great location as we were meeting up with friends in the hotel for dinner.
The climb upstairs for the bedroom.
Great location. Traditional style. Room was well appointed, good linen on the bed, nice bathroom but shower head a little low for 6ft person.
I liked it overall. However I had to go out to the car to retrieve something after dark, and there was no lighting at all. And as the car park was gravel and a bit rutted it was a very uncomfortable walk to and from the hotel. I saw the lights the next morning, so there are some provided, just not lit??!!
Character of the hotel is nice and the open fires were very cosy. We really enjoyed the bath and the house keeping of the room was exceptional.
Nothing really
I've stayed here before for work and the reason I rebooked was because the hotel is clean, cosy and in a great location and the food is fantastic. All of the staff are friendly and professional too. I couldn't fault this great hotel or it's wonderful staff.
Excellent hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Great food and fantastic location.
the decor, the temperature, the ambience, the whole experience
lighting in the car park, when we arrived after dark
Beautifully presented accommodation. Roaring fires, Caledonian charm excellent hospitality and service.
What a fabulous location to be as a solo traveller. I felt cared for by the excellent staff at the hotel. A gorgeous room with everything I needed. Right on the doorstep of the famous Luss homes. Book here ..... you will not regret it.
There was nothing i disliked.
Loved the ambiance! Absolutely LOVED the library room. I spent a few hours curled up, reading. It was so lovely!Just loved it!
The shower system is a bit cumbersome. We had water pouring out of the break in the 2 glass sections. Once we figured out how the gaskets needed to be, it was all sorted.
The location was good, and the room was spacious. The staff were friendly and the service was efficient.
Based on the facilities, and overall standard of the room, the price was a little high. There was no space in the room to hang coats / walking gear, especially when wet. There was a very limited vegetarian selection in the restaurant.
