We found this to be a very charming and interesting hotel close enough to the Lake Lomond area but also off the beaten path. We stayed in the superior double room with a sea view and it was very comfortable and spacious. We had one dinner and all breakfasts there and all were delicious. There are lots of charming places scattered around the building which are very interesting and worth exploring. The owner is also the decorator and shell artist in the gift store; she is very talented.

As with any old building there are parts that could use an update.

Clean and beautiful surroundings. Owners were very welcoming and friendly. View is stunning.

Toilet had issues. Word to the wise, don’t take the 8:00pm seating for dinner because the wait staff will rush you through one of the most delicious meals you can have by Mark the chef.

    Location and ambiance were nice.

Bed and pillows were old and uncomfortable.

    9LisaPosted on: 4-29-2025

Friendly & accommodating staff, superb food for evening and breakfast, stunning views of Loch Fyne.

Bedroom decor could do with a refresh. Bedroom keys very cumbersome to carry around.

Such a relaxing hotel with excellent food and staff. It's great location for day trips to Oban, Inveraray and beyond. Ample parking and a bar with a log fire. It's dog friendly as well. The menu has traditional foods Salman, Scallops, Mussels and Smoked Haddock.Would recommend a visit. We will return that's for sure. Open for Hogmanay if your looking for something different.

Beautiful old building great views . Ambience was spot on . Food was great , exceptional breakfast .

It’s an older building with antique furniture that’s beautiful but some came with odd odors. If you’re sensitive to smells it may not be the best option.

Lovely double aspect room, nicely furnished with comfy beds and a steaming hot bath ...much needed after walking all day.Staff were very helpful and we could make use of the boot dryer ..essential after falling into the river! The view is sensational.

Front room are a little noisy because of the proximity to the road.

A superb stay in beautiful surroundings on the shores of Loch Fyne. Very attentive and friendly staff and comfortable rooms, with stunning loch views. Dinner was exceptional, and what a pleasure to have a freshly cooked breakfast, made to order. Can't recommend highly enough!

A stunning location and a big bonus was the pet-friendly lounge upstairs with the picture window. We ate in the bar area which was nice and lively. The room was nicely furnished with a spacious bathroom.

Staff were lovely and the food was superb! We ate dinner there and also breakfast, both meals were lovely but I can honestly say the breakfast was the best breakfast we had in our two weeks in Scotland. This place is definitely worth a visit and if you have time, drive to Puck's Glen for a lovely walk alongside some waterfalls.

Incredible team & service, felt so welcomed and cared for. Gorgeous hotel, well cared for. The VIEW!! The view over the Loch from the hotel is stunning. We sat outside having dinner overlooking the beautiful scenery.

Simply nothing. We would love to go back

    9IanPosted on: 9-10-2024

It was clean as a whistle and the room was spacious . The breakfast was good.

The service was a bit slow in the evening but that didn’t effect our trip

    8TraceyPosted on: 9-9-2024

Great location with stunning views. Clean, comfy room. Lovely food at a reasonable price.

Very close to a busy road where the 40mph speed limit seems to be ignored.
