Friendly staff, great location.
Tiles on bathroom floor broken and cracked, sharp to the bare foot. The carpet almost thread bare.
good breakfast. Room comfy
Could do with usb points in rooms for charging phone
Was given a box room for 2 of us, prob by mistake, was upgraded to massive family room right away, staff always friendly, been loads times can't fault it, booking again soon.
The weather and coming home
Perfect location. My room was warm and cosy. The hotel restaurant offered a great menu with really good prices. The staff were attentive and very friendly nothing was too much trouble. I slept really well and the mattress was very comfortable.
I did mention it to the reception in the morning, my room would have totally benefitted from a work station and chair instead of the armchair which took up a lot of space in my single room as I needed to work on my laptop which was very awkward. There was an alcove opposite perfect for the tea making facilities to go into where all the power points were leaving space for a slim desk and an office chair an easy fix. The end the WiFi wouldn't work properly and had to use the dining area downstairs to work but even then the WiFi speed was very poor. The hotel needs a better system with floor boosters for the rooms as many other hotels have.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was in a nice location which was handy with the ferry etc. It was a clean and comfortable room.
Everything was perfect apart from the bed was cold.
Great location in the town centre, staff great.
Rooms and corridors are tired
Very helpful staff lovely hotel food within minutes of ordering will be back soon

I didn't sleep outside.
Damp, smelly rooms, awful décor, paint everywhere, even smeared on the doors and carpets. It hasn't seen any investment in 20+ years. Get it sold and turned into flats or something! My advice would be stay in Glasgow or the Port Glasgow area and get the ferry across. Remember to buy your ferry tickets at the CO-OP and not on the ferry!
Location was nice , Room was lovely , staff where nice enough ....
The hotel was frozen , Had lunch which is nice but sat in a frozen room eating it ...The heating was a small heater plugged into a socket ..After about 11pm Heating got turned off and the room was absolutely freezing till it came back on again at 10am which is not acceptable at all ....If you are open for guests then the heating should be on regardless if you have 1 guest or 100 ....We didn't book breakfast because we needed a heat and left at 10am as we couldn't sit in the room any longer so we got a heat in the car ....VERY DISSATISFIED
Sea view roomLocation central Complimentary toiletries Clean bathComfy bedExtra complimentary milk in a jug not sachets!Quiet
A little outdated, but as expected for priceThe sausage at breakfast
Good central location, with free parking nearby.
The room carpet had not been vacuumed, the cups, saucers and spoon had not been washed properly and on the second day the shower gel/ were not replenished.
The location of the property could not be better. Handy for everything. you can eat in the hotel directly or the adjoining restaurant which gives you plenty choices.
It’s an old hotel and the elevator is very, very slow. Whatever you walk, the floorboards squeak heavily, disturbing people below you. It was a Saturday night and the bar was closed from arrived back at 10:30. This is early in Scotland for closing time.
Location is great
Rooms was spacious and very comfortable
Close to queen's hall
Dated and restaurant cold
We chose this hotel for the proximity and it didn’t disappoint. 2 minutes from ferry port and 50yards to the concert hall. Rooms were big and lots of space for clothes and large table with mirrors. A bit dated but adds to the character.
Although it could do with a refurb it was clean and all our party enjoyed our stay
Few meters from the ferry pier and on the shopping street. Friendly staff . The 2 restaurants inside the hotel are fairly priced.
Dated , slow lift , old fashioned
Staff were lovely.
Bit cold initially but heater brought. No fridge in the room.
Exactly as I expected, went for some relaxation and got it, room was absolutely stunning with an amazing view out over the Clyde, staff were so friendly and the food was excellent
There were pigeons around the fire escape door by my room which I informed staff about, I know from personal experience it’s a difficult issue to deal with but it didn’t affect my stay at all
