Cons -
- A bit dated and poor storage in rooms. Wardrobe had 4 hangers and there were no drawers in the desk or bedside tables Bathroom also quite dated and one of those horrible plastic shower curtains that tries its best to cling to you when you are showering
- Room 20 - no view from window only extraction units which made a continuous noise throughout our stay
- The accommodation was very noisy as the music from the downstairs area did not stop until midnight and then noise from the patrons reverberated up to the rooms. We do not recommend staying here on weekends or when accommodation has functions

The location, the food and the super friendly staff! The area is beautiful even with the storm Amy passing by. The food from the hotel restaurant was lovely every time! We ate there exclusively because the ambiance is very inviting and the staff is incredibly welcoming as well as the food and drink being delicious.
The noise from the floorboards in the room at night. A little loud at night but only when walked on. Of the 7 nights we stayed here, only once was an upstairs neighbor moving around at night.
Location- decent bar food
Toilet floor in the reception area covered in vomit when I arrived. My check-in was missing from the hotel system and I was given a room which had not been cleaned. Bed was stripped but not made-up.
Callum checked us and was very efficient and very helpful. Our suitcases were carried up to our rooms which was good as the staircase was steep and spiral. So glad we didn’t have to go to the next floor which was even steeper and twistier. Very good menu choice for our evening meal and the food was lovely. Croissants were super. All the staff, Iona, Reece and a lovely girl, didn’t get her name on at breakfast time. The senior member of staff on duty in the morning was great too. Very helpful. As we were saturated when we came back from a days walking it was nice to have heating on in your room to help dry out our soggy clothes.Loved the shower, nice to have some room, in fact I liked the layout of the room too.
Slight hitch on Friday morning but breakfast eventually appeared which everyone was grateful for. Trying to collect all the bits and bobs to have a bowl of cereal was a pain in the neck. Just put a bowl of sugar and a jug of milk on the table.
It was clean and comfortable in bedrooms
The windows needed replacing so it could be cold at times Their gas broke on the Monday so we couldn’t have a cooked breakfast The chairs needed a clean
Great friendly staff. The location was stunning over looking the sea.
The decor may not be to everyones taste.
Room size was OK, and breakfast was good
Room was cold, had to turn up the heating
The stay in general was good! Bed was comfortable. Rooms were a little dated and in need of some TLC.
Having guests in a room opposite screaming and shouting at each other at various times from 10:45pm onwards! Not the hotels fault but nothing appeared to be done about it when reported!
We had a lovely stay. The bar and restaurant staff were really friendly and welcoming both to us and, especially, to our very precious pooch!?? The food was yummy and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel to others.
Everything was fab. We had all we needed.
Nice evening meal and sitting area outside.
Breakfast very poor I informed the hotel that I had a gluten allergy a week before our stay and they said no problem regarding breakfast, but my breakfast was the same as my friends just with the gluten items removed so all I was left with was bacon and egg ? gluten free bread is readily available so are beans and sausage especially when they were given prior notice of my dietary needs. On the whole not a bad stay just let down by the breakfast.
Food was poor, our son’s food was dry and reheated. Our food was average, hard chips and old dis-coloured peas. Shower was a dribble, toilet seat was very loose and a cold room. Staff were great and location was great, accommodation needs improvement with the food
Excellent breakfast, comfy bed ,slept really well, great service from staff
Friendly staff, fast service. Good location
I asked for a view of the sea and got one of someones house.
Had a lovely stay whilst visiting friends at the weekend. If I could have changed anything, it would have been the weather. It was pouring from the heavens. Lovely hotel, beautiful food and very friendly staff, would highly recommend
Restaurant was OK and food selection good. Staff were nice.
Was told on arrival that Bathroom needed fixing and a maintenance man would be up soon. Why they couldn't have put me in another room I do not know.Room was freezing overnight. No ability to set your own temp in the room. I had to get up and get dressed and go down to reception in the middle of the night to be told they'd turned off the central heating to my room and that they'd turn it back on again. Meant I didn't get a good night sleep at all.WiFi TERRIBLE and couldn't take business calls in my room or even in the restaurant.
Location the breakfast was lovely although the coffee machine is not on for breakfast which was disappointing
Room 12 was small only equipped with 1 cup 1 towel glass etc the gap at the bottom of the door was about 2 inches so light all night.the view of the roof was disappointing
Locality was great.
Road noise as we had loch view, Draft as window is in poor maintenance.
Location suited our one night stay required in the area.
It was quite noisy from outside traffic at night as window didn't close properly. Plumbing in bathroom was noisy and poor. Toilet would not flush properly.Bed not very comfortable. Floorboards very squeaky both inside room and in corridor outside room. Breakfast was poor. There was no fresh milk available for cereal.
