About
Located on the banks of Loch Long with breathtaking views of the Arrochar Alps, the Village Inn offers rooms with attached bathroom and free WiFi in all areas. The building’s character is complemented by individual room features including a TV, tea/coffee facilities and a private bathroom. Some rooms overlook the loch. Seasonal, locally sourced produce, including seafood, is served in the restaurant. Refreshing drinks and afternoon tea are served in the bar, which has 2 log fires. Guests can also relax in the beer garden, which overlooks Loch Long. There are many walks and trails stopping off in local villages. Arrochar and Tarbet Rail Station is under 5 minutes’ drive from the Inn. The Village Inn is open all year round including Christmas, when guests can enjoy the scenery while sitting beside the log fire.

Cons -
- The only disappointment was lack of storage space in the room for clothes.
- We couldn't see out of the window in our room.
- Bathroom could’ve done with a slightl upgrade, though definitely had everything we needed.

Lovely, clean and spacious room with friendly staff. Excellent location to stay. Great breakfast.
Hotel was lovely , room was spotless. staff were friendly and attentive.
We couldn't see out of the window in our room.
Really friendly staff, and gorgeous pub/restaurant facilities. So cozy on a cold night, a little haven.
Bathroom could’ve done with a slightl upgrade, though definitely had everything we needed.
Relaxed country pub style. Friendly staff. Very comfortable and clean.
Meal on second night very poor but sorted immediately with apology when brought to staff's attention.
Staff very friendly (particularly Charlie). Food tasty, hearty meal with good portion sizes. Bed very big and comfortable. Breakfast exactly what was described - good portion.
Sheets underneath bedsheets could have been a bit cleaner, otherwise great.
The location was amazing and the views where lovely
The Bar was really small and most of the tables had been reserved so we had to sit at the reception to have a drink. Not ideal if you are a resident for the night. But apart from that place is lovely.
The Inn is in a lovely setting overlooking the Loch.It has a very cosy feeling and the food is fantastic. Our room was very clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
Arrochar itself doesn't offer much for visitors as there were no shops or cafes open.
Location, friendly staff, comfy bed and good food
To be expected in old building but you could clearly hear others going into the rooms nearby
Breakfast was huge, very generous and well cooked. Room was clean and cosy
We liked the dog friendly rooms and the fact that dogs can come into the bar. The real ales and ciders were excellent. The menu was good and the food very tasty.
The bed was only a double.
Great location, friendly staff. We stayed in room 3 it was lovely and clean.
We had a lovely evening meal but feel the quality of the cooked breakfast could be improved.
Location, warm and cozy good food, friendly staff
Creaky floors boards from room above overnight, affecting sleep overnight
Great location and great view
Wifi was an issue
Great location and a friendly vibe. Bed was very comfortable.
The meals were a little under-whelming. They weren't bad as such, but I found the beef for the roast to be sub-par / tough and the breakfast sausages / bacon were not good enough quality. I reckon Heritage Pubs is cutting costs here and there, but honestly cutting corners on meat quality is going to sting you. I'd find savings elsewhere. I also recommend that the staff be a little more attentive. They were perfectly pleasant when you engage with them, but they sometimes seemed like they were avoiding the customers--probably a bit under-staffed / busy. Also, I'd improve your whisky selection. Like the meat issue, if you go to the bar and your best dram is a Oban 14 or an off the shelf Dalwhinnie, you do kind of feel like, why bother? Overall I'd say the problem here is that the management of the chain is scraping profits by delivering some mediocre food and drink, and I think that's a false economy. Charge another £10 and deliver above average.
What a fantastic hotel everything about it ,the staff are a credit to the company they went above and beyond such a wonderful welcome thank you guys .the room I had was superb so comfy and lovely and warm what a gem of a hotel .the food there was wonderful , although I thought a little expensive you don't mind paying for excellence and the breakfast offering was fantastic .
Great location for us cycling. Comfy room and warm. Bar staff were friendly and loved the honey gin toddy.
The Groupon Voucher we bought for dinner for 2 in the Restaurant said it was for 2 courses and a drink each. They gave us the menu and it looked very nice but then they realized we had a Groupon Voucher so removed the main menu and gave us a fairly limited menu instead!
We liked the location, staff, character building and the food. The bath was great big and deep. Very comfy bed slept extremely well.
No bedside tables in our room, no blind or curtains in the bathroom, there are shutters but you can't shut them, the glass is frosted but you can still see through the glass. The TV only had one channel.
The property was clean and in good order. Parking was ample. Location was good.
The room was very small barely enough room to walk round the bed. The ceiling was very ridiculously low. The on suite was tiny.
