- Mouldy grouting in the shower and towels didn't smell nice. Sauna and hot tub weren't working.

cleanliness, no food, no parking, overly bureaucratic check in.
Location
Poor maintenance and poor attitude of certain staff members
The staff are helpful Swimming pool sauna steam room very good
Building work going on workman entered room without consent said nobody should be in the room Room was dirty utensils dirty pots and pans dirty tv brocken Was offered 15% off our next stay I said that's not really the point
I actually can't think of anything positive to say about the accommodation. My son enjoyed the pool but it wasn't clean and neither were the changing rooms so that was an issue.
There were many issues with our stay. 1) There were no restaurant or adequate food options available on site, this was not communicated in advance. I was staying on site with my two-year-old, while my Mum (who had the car) was staying separately in Shebbear. As a result, I had no independent access to food. Although I had food for my son, I had none for myself. The on-site shop was only open between 5pm and 7pm, we arrived after this window for check-in. I was told there would be a breakfast pop-up the following morning, however there were no suitable gluten-free options available (I am gluten intolerant). When I asked reception about alternative options, such as a vending machine, I was told there were none, my only option was to eat off-site or wait until the shop reopened at 5pm. This is unacceptable for accommodation marketed as 4-star. 2) Our accommodation was not clean on arrival. I had to hoover the apartment myself as the floor was unclean, and I was not comfortable allowing my two-year-old to be on it. Similar issues were evident across the facilities, including the swimming pool. The changing rooms were dirty, I had to wipe down the baby changing area before use, and there was visible dirt and grime in the pool. 3) Unsafe condition of children’s play area. I took my toddler to the park facilities on our first morning. The area was covered in dirt, mould and algae, and the wooden gate and several play features were visibly rotting. These facilities were unsafe and unhygienic for use. If they cannot be properly maintained, they should be closed. 4) The travel cot provided did not include a mattress. While I understand this may be for health and safety reasons, this should have been clearly communicated in advance so we could bring our own. As it was not, I had no choice but to push my bed against the wall and co-sleep with my son, which made me uncomfortable. Overall, we were severely disappointed in our stay. I would be happy to speak with someone further.
Lovely place, have been a few times and excellent facilities and staff. Shame they don’t have a bar or evening entertainment.
Nothing really. Shower pressure could be a bit better in the lodge is the only thing I would change.
On arrival we were upgraded to a lodge which was nice..
It was abit out dated with the decking in side but it was clean. I didn’t like that there was no bar or restaurant on the site when it said there was. Was about 20 minutes drive to the nearest town to grab food. The shop only opened in the evening as well which didn’t sell very much.
Great facilities, peaceful location, value for money
The set up is nice with peacocks and wildlife. The site eg flats and houses are well set out with parking outside . The price is good for what it is !
The house needs new carpets from the dull dusty or should I say very dusty . TV iPlayer would be nice but basic TV had to do. A little bit more utensils in the kitchen would also help
The spa facilities were great, with a badminton/squash court that was easy to book and use.
The bar is mainly a children's play area, not very welcoming or comfortable
The property was clean and spacious. The property had a double sofa bed additional linen and overlooks a lake.
The property does not have the best signage but the hotel staff are very helpful and guided us to the stay.
The staff were really excellent, I forgot my charger and cables in the room, LJ at the front desk contacted me and arranged for these to be mailed back to me. Facilities were excellent, room was massive and the views were spectacular!! I would highly recommend this Hotel.
Stayed a couple of times now and the 1 bed houses are ideal for a relaxing weekend getaway. They are very spacious and fully equipped with everything you need. Cleanliness is superb and the facilities well kept. There is a warm pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, badminton / squash court and gym available for use.
Nestled among the trees, it felt secluded enough to really relax, so much space, similar to center parcs but a whole two bed house to ourselves, with main bedroom en suite! Loved seeing the huge number of birds around the property: robins, blackbirds, tits, nut hatch, peacocks(!), ducks, a bird of prey even landed in the trees outside our kitchen window
Nothing we didn’t like, it had everything we needed and more, board games, DVDs, a treasure trail, leisure centre facilities were amazing
The holiday was very nice! The house was very clean and comfortable
Was with electric radiators and living room was with little bit lower temperature.
Staff
Apartment smart strongly of fish The tv in bedroom had no controller and could not be switched onGym and spa facilities closed by 7 which wdd as by known at time of booking
This place offers evening activities such as magic shows and bingo nights. In addition, there is a small leisure centre with a selection of indoor activities, along with a swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room.
My toaster wasn't working and the bed wasn't very comfortable, we stayed for 4 nights and barely slept comfortably.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially Michelle on reception and pool attendants
Could have done with an additional heater in living room of the lodge
