Sun Hotel Warkworth

Good old fashioned hotel, very clean, very good breakfast. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Location next to Warkworth Castle (real home of Shakespeare's Harry Hotspur), Lovely hotel building with associated pub which served a gourmet meal Great view over valley at rear of hotel.

This is a pleasant period hotel situated by Warkworth Castle, so it is in a picturesque setting. The hotel's decor gives it an elegant feel. Parking was easy. Breakfast in the morning (poached eggs) were well cooked.

The radiator in the room was not dispelling much warm air and as a result, the room was cold. The bathroom was an ice box. Perhaps Summer is the best time to stay? I did order food in the evening but was disappointed with the prawn cocktail; there were five prawns in the dish and rather a lot of shredded lettuce.

breakfast was excellent. our room had a view of warkworth castle, location is perfect to access all of northumberlands attractions, plenty of parking, restaurant / bar next door was good

Friendly staff on check in and given information about WiFi, breakfast times and location. Great location with good parking. Lovely room with kettle, hairdryer and iron/ironing board provided.

WiFi kept dropping in/out but it's usually in Northumberland

Great location, friendly staff. Adequate car park space (despite the snow!). Friendly pub adjoining hotel offering food and drinks.Room on small side but the view made up for it. Tea/coffee in room bonus.

Location excellent, breakfast tasty but limited choice compared to other places we've stayed.

Room was very small. Bed not even a double size and the mattress was 'dead'. Bathroom very small, shower control was useless as red hot all the time.

Situated in a beautiful spot close to the village,rooms were lovely and clean and bed was comfy ,staff couldn't be more helpful service was excellent, food was great plenty on offer for breakfast and menu throughout the day definitely would recommend in every way ,
