The Food was excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive. Service was very good. The location was great for our purposes.

The bed was too soft for us. The shower was a bit tricky - trouble controlling the water temperature.

Nice clean

New ownership. Have stayed or eaten there for 40 years. Redecoration destroyed the charm of an old fishermans inn. Always noted for its good food. Not good enough now. Will not be returning. Very sad indeed.

We’ve just returned from our second stay at The Anglers Arms, this time in The Apartment, and once again it was perfect. The accommodation is spacious, comfortable, and has everything you need for a relaxing break. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the food was excellent. It’s such a lovely spot, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

The food is exceptional and the staff were lovely.

While there was a good selection of rooms they could do with some TLC and a feather duster for the high to reach places.

The shower situation with no door is a poor choice. The handle to operate the shower also becomes blazing hot & that’s a total safety hazard. We almost burned our arms on it.

The shower was difficult to control and difficult to manage. Water was too hot, even on the lower setting.

Very clean room, comfy bed. Ecxellent breakfast with good menu choice. Beautiful spot with view of bridge and nice river walk. Very quiet. Easy access to Rothbury and Cragside, also to Alnwick and coast.

Shower in room 2 very slow to drain, had to stop-start shower to prevent overspilling shower tray and flooding floor.Dining room felt a little stark so did not tempt us to eat dinner there.

Old, historic inn in beautiful surroundings. Comfortable beds and lovely bathroom. Great in-room amenities.

The Anglers Arms is in a beautiful location just 20 minutes from Alnwick. We stayed in The Apartment which was a great size for me and my 9-year-old. It was immaculately clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for what we needed with a comfy bed. The play park was a big hit and perfect for keeping kids entertained.We had both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant – the food was excellent, with generous portions and great quality. The whole place was spotless, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.A really relaxing stay – we’ll definitely be back!

Great value for money, very clean and breakfast was superb.

No heating in the room and the bathroom sink was blocked so difficult to wash or clean teeth etc.

Location was where we needed to break our journey.Staff were very friendly and polite. Good service and excellent food. Very good value for money. Breakfast included in the price and we booked for dinner on arrival.Compliments to the chef for imaginative menu and excellent meals.
