    Pros +

    • -location right off of main road -breakfast & gift shop staff -mission of the center -fellow guests
    • Really great stay at this rewilding hotel. The mission is important and should be a model for similar restoration work around the world. I particularly liked how comfortable and well designed the hotel was but didn't try to be a hotel chain with large televisions and bad artwork.
    • The common area is nice and the interior style of the whole place is good. The room is small, very clean. The breakfast is great as well.

    Cons -

    • -small and camp-like but was as advertised (and actually fun)
    • Hiking in from the parking lot at the cafe was a little challenging. We unloaded at the accomodation but we had to park the car a five minute walk away. It was after dark and there was no lighting in the parking lot. I had trouble finding my way to the road to get back to the rooms. I appreciate the dark skies, but some low level lighting would be helpful and safer.
    • Nothing - the toilet flush was new to me, but I got it after a bit.

Part of a project to restore the Caledonian forests, this is a combination rewilding effort, educational and entertainment venue, and retreat center.

Beautiful space, great breakfast, comfy and clean room, awesome soap in the showers

Check-in was all self. Didn't get any help or saw any staff but other guests were helpful. Parking area to rooms was a bit dark.

The room was fine and the breakfast was nice, varied, and plentiful.

I am not sure about the communual area and everyone sitting there in the quiet.

    the facilities looks new

The bed setup wasn’t very comfortable, as we had twin beds that felt a bit unstable due to the wheels. I also didn’t expect the restroom to be designed for accessibility, which made the sink quite small and low for regular use. Unfortunately, the toilet wasn’t working properly, so I had to manually bring water to flush. I reported this issue on the first night of my stay, but it hadn’t been resolved by the time I checked out. I would recommend improving responsiveness to maintenance requests to make the guest experience smoother.

Beautiful location, accommodation exactly as described.

It would have been good to know that breakfast was limited in quantity and not replenished. Some groups / families seemed to have used all of the plates and eaten most of the food before we arrived at 8:30.

The property was well located for our pre Isle of Skye visit. They send to much information about check in before your arrival. The room was very tiny but facilities are comfortable. Breakfast was very good.

The room could be a bit larger and parking is inconvenient We parked in the designated area which meant dropping off our luggage and relocating our car. Others ignored these instructions and parked in the small lot just outside the entrance.

Fantastic, relaxing location, greenery, great walks

Thin walls, you can hear door closing, bring earplugs

Breakfast is good enough, the staff at dinning room very nice. The room is clean and space is enough for my one night stay.

    almost no.

Lovely location, all you can hear is birds singing around you... it's basically on a farm or right in nature. Check-in was done all electronically, everything worked great.King size bed in our room was very comfortable. The room was a little small, and the bathroom was even smaller. The sink looked like a toy,and the shower was very small, too.It didn't bother us at all,but for some larger people, the shower could be a little challenging. We stayed in room 20 , which was probably the cheapest one, perhaps in more expensive rooms, the shower and size of the room and bathroom are bigger Nevertheless......we loved our stayIt was very quiet, the complex is new or newer, very well designed, and kept Breakfast was in the cafeteria 3 min walking distance from our room ,selection was good,we couldn't find anything to complain about, and again......beautiful nature all around you. We will definitely stay at their facilities if we're in the area againLudvik,Canada

The room was very clean. It would be nice to have a kettle and coffee/tea in the room but there is a shared kitchen that provides a kettle and coffee. The breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit, yogurt, toast and very nice coffee

Breakfast should be a little earlier maybe 7-9 am

    10JohnPosted on: 5-18-2025

Cafe breakfast was excellent. A good selection of trails from easy to strenuous, all well maintained with information signage and benches well placed for us 80 year olds. Touchless main doors run by sensors.

Location is great, easy check in and check out, only missing shower gel, which is expected within this price range

Beautiful oaks and an excellent buffet breakfast!

Disappointing that they didn’t inform me that a tour would not be possible given I’d emailing about it too late. Instead I kept emailing hoping to encourage a response. I understand that these tours have not proved as popular as hoped - maybe they need to charge for them, or charge admission to the site so that people do the tour to get more ‘value’ from their visit

Lovely location. Check-in and out were pretty straightforward. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Breakfast started a bit late for me (8am) as I needed to be on the road. Also, communal tea and coffee facilities don't encourage use in the early morning or the middle of the night, for fear of waking other guests.

    9RangimariePosted on: 4-23-2025

Liked that it was in the middle of nowhere but near to where we wanted to explore. Loved the natural beauty; hills, rainbows, stars. The continental breakfast was perfect to set you up for an adventurous day.

That the car park for the accommodation was down the road and not closer.(didn’t mind walking to breakfast tho)

    8BradPosted on: 4-22-2025

Comfortable beds, nice breakfast. Easy to check in.

Wish there had been a sign in the room about how to sign on to wifi with their password. Didn’t see sign in common room with required info so went without wifi.
