Beautiful decor, cozy room with comfy bed. Well equipped & great shower.

Nice food

Too hot in the rooms and difficult to sleep - even though switched off radiator, towel rail and opened window!

Old quirky but very well kept and great little touches to make it feel special

Only downside was the parking spaces very tight and I'm sure all those cars weren't staying at hotel

Started with a warm welcome and all staff were professional and helpful.Our room was quiet, comfortable and clean. Only issue for this older couple was the bed was a bit firm.Excellent breakfast - we appreciated it was cooked to order.Great location in the middle of a fascinating town and we will visit again.Overall we will usethis hotel and others in the group again.

Good customer service and everything was very clean. Nice bar area with log fires.

Breakfast was a little disappointing. Good choice of fruit, cereals etc, however hot food (bacon, sausage) which is taken to order, felt as if it had been warmed up in the microwave. I may be wrong but I have had better.

The room was clean, tasteful in decor, comfy bed. The restaurant was a very calm, stylish experience with good service and food well thought through.

The only real disappointment was the main course in the restaurant; the star element of our main courses, a fillet of pollack, was thin, poorly filleted, and my partner's steak was very tough, not very edible. It was asked to be medium to well, but it should still have been tender. All other elements were good, though.

Second visit: this time in the old part of the hotel. Lovely characterful room, very peaceful despite being near stairs, soacious and comfortable. Food excellent - we ate in the restaurant in the evening and were not disappointed in any way....and breakfast was outstanding.

Breakfast was excellent and service was good. The hotel is in centre of Oundle which was good. Comfortable bed so had good sleep both nights.

There was nothing we didn't like about hotel.

Beautiful old building with lots of period features. Room was a good size as was the bathroom. I had requested a bath and was very happy to be given a room with a bath- most hotels now only have shower rooms! Had a drink in the bar after dinner which was very pleasant. Will definitely return!

The menu in the restaurant could have had a few lighter options.

New wing is very clean and bright. Deco is tasteful. Location is superb.

Staff is polite but without warmth. Maybe I’m used to other countries’ hospitality. The weather here is grey and drizzly, not easy to be exuding warmth!

It’s central location, that is has character and provides a decent, affordable level of accommodation.

The quality of the food seems to have gone down and the decor is looking a little worn.

The comfort and staff . The breakfast excellent .the evening meal was good but expensive , and the menu needs to be changed occasionally if you are there for a few days it’s a little tired not much choice it just needs changing .
