The Bridge Hotel

The staff was extremely helpful in providing service and local knowledge. Always friendly and accommodating. In hotel dining is excellent.

To our expectation as only required snackWas offered cooked buy declined.

A ground floor room as poor mobility for stairs.

Good location, plenty of car park space as was in a large vehicle. Very quiet hotel. Food was also good.

Room was a little cold but two heaters provided sorted the that out.

Paying to park in thier own car park put in the cost would be better. No breakfast available

Dinner and breakfast was delicious. Fantastic, friendly staff, clean rooms. Quiet for a good night sleep.

Room a bit small Shower controls too high.Opaque windows in room. Would prefer clear windows despite the "not great" view of garage opposite ...... unless you like minis!!!!Outside of hotel looked shabby - not like pictures on booking.com

Bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet. Room was fairly large with all the relevant amenities. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Shower was a bit difficult to get the right temperature.

Lots of hot water, excellent sized room, storage, and comfortable bed. Refreshments and toiliteries provided. Ample parking, breakfast was average but lots of it.

3:45am fire alarm, no explanation in morning. Parking was stated as free, but on arrival cost £5. Found previous occupants hair in bathroom.Since then I have had a response to my review by the hotel stating "We are sorry for fire alarm, this is something out of our control, and as you realized was sorted very fast. Parking costs are stated on booking.com, and it is £5.However, this is patently incorrect, as another look at the Hotel on booking.com states "Each room boasts a flat-screen TV with Freeview, complimentary Wi-Fi, free on-site parking and en suite bathroom". Also since then, I have received a £100 Parking charge letter, and have since reduced my review from a 5 to a 1. If this issue is resolved by the Hotel, I will once again change my review back to a 5.

Breakfast was very good, room clean and comfortable and a small fridge in the room.

Problems with Wifi

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Bridge Hotel. The outside of the hotel looked a bit neglected so we were very pleasantly surprised from the moment we walked in at how nice it was. The marble floored Foyer was cheerful and bright and our twin room, though small, was equally bright and spotlessly clean. Clear rather than opaque windows would have been nicer, even though the view was the garage opposite!!!!All the staff, starting with Christiaan who met us in Reception, couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.Very pleased with modern power points with USB connections.Bottles of water and tea & coffee making facilities AND biscuits greatly appreciated.After a comfortable night's sleep we began our day - we were attending a wedding in the area - with an excellent freshly cooked breakfast and we were grateful we were able to checkout a bit later than usual, giving us a little extra time to get ready for the wedding in Barton Seagrave.Thank you everyone at the Bridge for making our stay in Thrapston so enjoyable.

The shower controls were too high for little people like me!!!Bathroom mirror too high!!!The desk was positioned in front of the full length mirror, which was a shame.A couple of pictures on the wall would have improved the feel of the room.A light in the wardrobe was needed.Room probably seemed smaller because of the opaque windows!

Check in and check out very friendly and efficient. Rooms and beds very comfortable. For a one night stay after a late finish, the hotel is perfectly acceptable.

Room was big , decent size bathroom with a very good power shower .

Breakfast choices - continental were a bit limited . A wider range of cereal would have been nice .

Nothing really, Outside could do with a spot of paint and a new Bridge Hotel sign would do wonders for the optik!

Quirky character of the architecture. Very very helpful and accommodating staff. We have stayed several times over a number of years and like it.

Windows don't open enough in a heat wave, also need for a fan in the room. Pull handles needed for elderly or young to open room door against fire self closer in the event of a need to escape, but also for equality and diversity.
