- staff and roof top bar
- I booked a room at this hotel to celebrate my dear wife’s birthday and give her a wonderful night. My plan was for us to enjoy some quality time together at the bar. However, as we were sipping our first drinks, we spotted a small mouse scurrying near the bar area. While most people might have screamed, my wife is very calm and didn't panic, but we were both completely stunned. After all, we were staying at a luxury hotel charging £400–£500 a night, and there were mice running around—right on the same floor as their restaurants. We called the waiter over and quietly informed him about the mouse behind the bar. Naturally, we were disgusted; we couldn't finish our drinks and asked for the bill. The manager brought the check and had the nerve to charge us, nonchalantly claiming that there are many mice in the area and that this was 'normal.'We went up to our room feeling shocked and repulsed, and barely slept through the night. They completely ruined my wife’s birthday and didn't even offer a proper apology or explanation. I will never set foot in this hotel again. I’m just glad we didn’t eat dinner there.

Great spot, hip vibe, comfortable, great food. People were friendly.
It’s a little pricey even for what it is.
I loved the lobby restaurant and bars, the space was perfect for receiving guests and friends throughout our stay. A perfect informal place to hangout and for people to come and meet us.
The service was sometimes slow maybe too relaxed at times.
Abe and other staff were really helpful and nice
There weren’t so many shops and restaurants near by
Great location, very nicely appointed, great bar and foyer area.
The aircon! You have to phone reception every time you want to change the temperature. We phoned several times and asked someone to check as it didn’t seem to be blowing out any air, despite checking our room 3 times it was only on the last night that it actually seemed to work. It kind of ruined our stay as we found it very hard to sleep in such a hot room despite the cold outside.
Comfortable bed, hot water, proximity to metro stops, staff was always pleasant - even when dealing with issues. Staff was the saving grace of this place and the only reason I rated it so highly.
Wood floors and wooden chairs make for very noisy neighbors. I was assigned a disabled access room (which I didn’t need) that meant a bathroom with wet floors all the time and no dry space- not even a curtain. Big disappointment. Also, my feather free room which was confirmed both when I booked as well as when I checked in, was in fact not. The dessert i tried to order two nights in a row was not available and staff didn’t know until I had already ordered and sat waiting. Cocktails are more expensive than the neighborhood supports. And the “lounge space” isn’t. All the seating is for restaurant and there is one small seating area directly in front of the front doors. For the money, I was disappointed and wouldn’t stay again when there are so many great hotels in London for similar cost.
The busy lounge and lobby. The retro industrial design. The subway tile bathroom motif
The Hoxton vibe is lively and awesome during the week especially and very chill on weekends. The modern design of the rooms, the accessibility of services, and most of all the beautiful location is a huge plus. I truly loved my stay and being able to cross the street to the Tate is an experience that will stay with me.
The staff are amazing super friendly, the bed was really comfortable and soft pillows dream nights sleep
Beautiful rooms, modern amenities, great dual restaurants, and wonderful staff and service
Great location rooms nice , comfortable bed fabulous roof top bar and restaurant
The staff! This weekend was a treat for my husband and the hotel had been recommended by our friends. Apart from the Seabird restaurant which is just fabulous food and staff were amazing. The ground-staff however a rather different story: unfortunately they were rude, when I asked why our room hadn’t been made up I was told I hadn’t asked for it to be made up? Apparently this is hotel policy? Who knew breakfast was a shit show waiting an hour for a coffee and when we asked about it we were told it was because they were busy, and not an I’m sorry in sight. The Crux for me was on check out where a member of the team blatantly shouted at 3 young kids who had asked for a replacement key. Despite these children queuing and being polite they were shouted at. It was awful and we had to intervene. I understand the GM was on leave but it’s sad I won’t stay here again.
Great location in walking distance to Waterloo station. The room was clean and modern and the hotel staff was very friendly.
Clean, convenient location friendly staff
Small room
The staff was beautiful young and cheerful.
The actual bed plumbing amenities were bad. The mattress and pillows were super uncomfortable. The water pressure was weak. They had a closet that was too short to hand longer clothes and no iron.
Was convenient to my course location. Within easy walking distance.
Did not have basic toiletries in the room or wash cloths.
The hotel is in a great location very close to the Jubilee Line and close to bus stops. The room was clean and comfy. The service was amazing. They were able to meet our requested accommodations and the staff was really helpful and nice at all times. Would def recommend.
No complaints here.
The hotel is beautiful and well maintained, the room we stayed in was comfortable and stylish. Loved the roof terrace restaurant, it had beautiful views and delicious food. The hotel and restaurant staff were very polite, friendly and attentive.
Very nice building and restaurant. Great location.
You could hear everything in the hallway through the rooms door, very bad sound proofing there. Hard to sleep with lots of people moving around in the halls and hearing everything word
The lobby and restaurant were aesthetically really nice, and the food at the restaurant was also really good.
Given the cost, I was expecting it to be cleaner - for instance, there was a smell in the room when I first entered and the air circulation/quality in the room seemed to be quite poor. I had allergies every time I was in the room (which hasn’t happened to me before!), and the lighting in the room was a bit odd. The toilet paper that was delivered once was also dirty so I had to keep asking for more, which is not something I would have expected at this hotel. The restaurant also closed quite early, which is unfortunate, especially for travelers coming from different time zones. Overall, I was a bit disappointed with my experience, particularly given the cost and expectations of the Hoxton, and I’m not sure I would recommend this space to someone else.
