- Location and room excellent value
- It was all right. The staff was kind, the room and the toilet clean. Great position and nice atmosphere
- Location
Cons -
- The state of the toilet/ showers some rather disgusting guests and you can’t use the accommodation again for 9months
- Nothing to complain about given the price. Maybe each bed could have had a small light, but no big deal.
- Horrible, horrible toilets and showers. I used the pub toilets. I saw a male guest try to lift up the toilet lid with his foot. They just don’t have enough space. Badly laid out.As with city hostel some people turned on the light at 2 am/ 5 am. No signs to discourage anti social behaviour. The cleaner did their best but far too many people using the 4 showers and 3 toilets.

Very pleasant, gracious gentleman checked me in. Was also super helpful regarding any questions I asked. They provided nice discounts on their pub food and drinks. Also provided free storage so I could do other things during the day.

Friendly stuff, late check- in possible, lovely bar
Brilliant location, very welcoming helpful bar staff. The pub was comfortable and clean.

Location, close to London Bridge.
Noise! Not externally, but slamming doors inside well into the night, we were on the second floor too. Also no mirror above the sink, mirror was across the bathroom. Just very basic really, no toiletries, and no glasses in the room should you wish to use one.
The location was good and the staff was friendly.
The room was too small for 9 people, it was too warm with bad air.
Budget friendly
Person above me was sick and under me was snoring. Staff had some issue with my check in
Location, spacious room and bathroom
Wifi wasn't very good
Really affordable and a good location.
A bit noisy from the street outside, and the bathrooms were messy or busy - maybe there weren't enough for the number of people.
The beds were cozy! I liked how they were designed to give a feeling if privacy even though they don't have curtains. The lockers were nice and big, and even though you have to walk through the public pub to get to the hostel on the upper floor, the security was excellent and I felt really safe. I appreciate how there was 24 hours reception as well. The guy at the reception desk was friendly and said if I needed any help I could come ask him.
There's honestly nothing wrong with this hostel and the location is great. If you just need a safe place to sleep, this works! I stayed here for just one night in my way to the airport. I just don't think the value was so good, compared to other hotels I have stayed in in London. For instance, I stayed in some places where the cost was the same but was a lot more spacious and had access to a kitchen and lounge area, etc.
Staff always had a smile and food was great.
The hostel wasn’t clean enough for me but I understand it’s difficult given the footfall. The toilets were cleaned and floors vacuumed but the corridor carpets were hanging and the toilet flush needs fixing. At £14 a night i need to be realistic but I given the numbers of guests the money should be there to improve mentioned.
The bed was comfortable, the location & the price was good. To what I paid, I feel I shouldn’t complain. Staff were nice & the room itself was nice & served its purpose.
No hot water, toilets/shower area were disgusting & needed an update. Carpet in corridors were grim.

Cleanliness, smell, alcohol.
Having read the comments and reviews about this place, I had mixed feelings. Since the hostel is located in one of the most dangerous areas in London, crime is high, judging by the current statistics from 2025. I expected the worst, but nothing happened during our stay. We returned to our room at various times of the day and night. The street becomes deserted after 10:00 PM, which might give the impression it might be unsafe. However, we didn't encounter any troublesome people for several days. The advantage is that it's in a good location. There are many tourists on the main street during the day, and it's very close to a food market and the bridge. Public transport is also very close.
A major problem is the lack of breakfast before 9:00 a.m. If a tourist wants to eat earlier and leave the hostel to explore, they must either leave without breakfast or wait until 9:00 a.m. to eat a ridiculously small portion of an English breakfast, which unfortunately isn't a sufficient meal for someone from the European Union (English people may enjoy this type of breakfast, but other tourists unfortunately don't). The staff were supposed to be friendly, but they weren't. The bar staff barely noticed anyone entering, whether it was someone off the street or a guest at their hostel. There was no greeting or farewell to anyone. It was a very strange and cold mentality. I didn't feel welcome at all. We didn't even hear a stupid good morning or a happy new year 2026 from the staff, which in my opinion affects the business card of this place. During my six-day stay in a private room in the attic, I wasn't given a single fresh roll of toilet paper, nor was the trash taken out. I had to ask if someone could give me some. I was told to get whatever I could find in the public restrooms in the bar. Eventually, I was given a huge roll of toilet paper from the cleaning lady's storage room. We also received a dirty shower, which hadn't been cleaned by the cleaning lady before our arrival. There was residue in the shower. There was also a notice in the room that there was a mouse in the hostel that they couldn't identify. I think the mouse was stuck inside the tall trash bin throughout our stay and couldn't get out; we heard the bag rustling at night. But we didn't look for it specifically because it wasn't causing any harm. A very unpleasant man with dreadlocks works as a night guard at a hostel.
Great location. Good facilities. Friendly staff. Decent amount of space considering you’re only getting a bed. Power outlets with USBs in each bunk was convenient. And you’re above a pub that’s never a bad thing.
A small reading light would have been nice to have, but you can make do with your phones light. Better hanging space for coats & jackets. You had to pile them on top of others which is not ideal.
Great location and good covered beer garden. Friendly staff and easy check-in
Not a dislike but currently only one proper shower working in premises
Sound hostel all round. Stone's throw from London Bridge station and nice pub downstairs too. For the price I paid, very good.
High traffic in the bathrooms overnight and bathrooms not cleaned til the morning can leave them pretty messy, only quibble.
Great location at a very affordable price. Staff were friendly and as a resident you get a deal card to use at the bar downstairs. Half price pizza all night after 11pm was a real bonus after the night out. Room was clean and tidy, as were the bathrooms. Couldn’t fault any of it to be fair
