About

This boutique hotel is located in southwest London. It has 8 rooms with either en-suite or shared bathrooms. Every room has a 42-in TV, WiFi access, super king size beds and coffee machines. The hotel’s location is less than 3 miles from London's museums and the Royal Albert Hall, and there are multiple parks nearby. The city bike scheme has a docking station directly adjacent to the building, which provides guests the option to explore the city on two wheels. The hotel itself is located above a pub of the same name, and serves British/French cuisine all week long, as well as live music nights and a quintessentially English quiz on Sunday evenings. The Captain Cook is located just a mile away from Craven Cottage and Stamford Bridge, where many football games are held.

    Pros +

    • Lovely greeting, room spacious and warm. Shower amazing power and temperature. Restaurant serve red excellent choice of Tapas . Very good restaurant prices and all staff warm and friendly.
    • This hotel is a boutique hotel with wonderful rooms and it is above a pub with great food and a short walk to the underground station. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying who wants to stay outside the hustle and bustle of central London.
    • The bed was so comfortable and warm

    Cons -

    • I was certain on booking breakfast was included but found out they do not serve breakfast . Shame as otherwise excellent
    • No everything was excellent
    • The windows 2; inch gap in the bathroom window Right at the top only way to reach was by standing on the toilet seat and reaching up to put a rolled up towel only blocks the draft coming in still very noisy from the two main windows with cars and the planes going over !! If they upgrade the windows would of been great

Comfy room with nice decor, pretty comfortable bed, great pillows, couldn’t hear a lot of noise from the pub below.

Windows have no sound insulation and could hear traffic noise and noise from people yelling outside.

The location was good and the room was nice enough with a comfortable bed.

The listing clearly stated that even though our bathroom would not be en suite, it would be right across the hall from our room and for our private use only. Neither of those things was true and it should be reflected in the listing that the bathroom is shared and is up a flight of stairs.

Surprised at size and comfort of the room. Separate entrance for the room, detached from the pub with own key/. Staff friendly and helpful.

Large room, opening windows, portable aircon

The pub was noisy - had Kids screaming down a microphone for hours on a Sunday evening. Glasses dirty, no ice.

I enjoyed the area (Fulham) and surrounding vicinity. Easy access to a number of things.

    The sink wouldn't drain.

The location was perfect for us. The pub was great. We ate there before heading out and the food was delicious. In fact the apple crumble was the best ever. Rooms are a really good size with plenty of tea, coffee and milk provided. The staff were super friendly. We would defo stay again

It wasn't that we didn't like it, but there are lots of stairs, so maybe not ideal for those with mobility issues

Lovely accommodation over a very nice pub/restaurant. Had dinner in the restaurant and it was fantastic. I mean, really, really good. Very impressed. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely return. The location is great for anyone going to a Fulham or Chelsea football match. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Bathroom down the hall from room, so not ensuite for our room. I'm sure other rooms are ensuite, so be sure to ask for this when booking. Only a small inconvenience though.

Staff were great. Tapas food in pub below was great

Dangerous bathroom across and along corridor. After booking, was asked if I’d like to upgrade to a private bathroom, which I did. (I had not realised it wasn’t.) External bathroom has dangerous step, marked with hazard tape, that would make it very easy to break an ankle.

The bar area was very well presented but unfortunately the hotel area was not.

The shower area was poor. Shower was hanging off the wall. I had to crouch to have a shower as the head was so low due to hanging off the wall.

Great location. Bed and pillows were comfy.

The street was a little busy and the windows rattled when cars went by. The room smelled too much of bleach and it was a bit dusty.

Spacious room, great location. Great tea supplies and comfortable bedding, windows with a view. Book with information and staff friendly. Key and code, checkout easy process. Walking distance to pubs, restaurants and shops. Or bus or tube close by.

No anti slip in the shower, awkward bathroom door had to step aside to get to the loo. Kettle too big and heavy. Disappointed that I asked cleaner to just put more teabags but changed bedding AND towels. I am environment friendly so felt this was unnecessary. But also I specifically said I didn't need them.

    - I liked that you didn't have to go through the bar to get to your room.- The bed was very comfy. - Good size room.- Good choice of sachets. Coffee/ tea.- Good lighting- Near a tube station- 20 minute walk

    - The windows weren't the most sound proof so can hear traffic.

    Friendly staff, excellent location

Our bathroom was across the hall, it was our private bathroom though so wasn’t really an issue on this trip

We had gone for food tapas style which was nice.

So loud with people talking and shouting outside, along with vehicles, didn’t sleep a wink all night!

From the initial reception, the service was excellent and very welcoming. A lovely restaurant with rooms attached accessed via an external door to the restaurant. The room was larger than expected, beautifully decorated, a welcome warmth and cosiness on a bitter cold day. The bed was super comfy, couple of armchairs and a table and enough room to swing as many cats as you like! The bathroom was a little on the small side but functional, great shower and lovely towels.

Very warm, cozy and extremely quiet Parking is free 17:00-09:00 on the road next to the pubThe pub is lovely and the food looked good but I was a tad late to orderEasy access via a PIN coded side door

Very good location, clean room, shower. Carpet could be cleaned slightly better. Overall, very nice place. Nice pub and restaurant as well. Good food.

    Nothing in particular.
