Pros +
- The staff was great. They accommodated the last minute booking.
- I had a fabulous evening meal in the restaurant. Bed was really comfortable
- The room was lovely - I think we had the smallest/least equipped room, having seen the other rooms as we left but it was nicely decorated, clean and suitable for our stay. Check in systems were in place for our late arrival and easy to follow. We had no interactions with anyone running the actual hotel. The breakfast was presented well. When it said breakfast included, I didn't expect an £8 cap/a public breakfast place but it covered the basics for a decent breakfast and drink. We had to pay extra to get what we actually wanted for our breakfast (hot chocolate for my daughter rather than tea/coffee, for example) but that was ok.
Cons -
- I had to carry my suitcases up two flights of stairs.
- I was sorry to miss breakfast but they don't serve it til 9 on a Sunday and I had to be on my way before that.
- I don't want to be critical as the overnight stay was pleasant, lots of care has been taken to make it a nice stay. I did find the breakfast time unpleasant though. The food was amazingly presented and really nice. It was the atmosphere that was the issue. Two females were there and they were nice but not attentive whatsoever. Private conversations and not at low volume, make up being done in the mirror in the breakfast area, and when they enjoyed the song that was playing, the volume went up. Way beyond what I'd expect to the point where we had to raise our voices to be able to have a conversation at our table. There were a couple of other things I'd rather not share here, it really wasn't what I was expecting and resulted in us leaving disappointed. However, the hotel is very nice and I'd recommend it. I'd just suggest the breakfast service is looked at again.

Good parking. Great staff. Good value. Breakfast was a surprise inclusion.
Nice room, there’s a restaurant onsite which is very handy.
The curtains, it would make a huge difference to have blackout blinds.
Staff were welcoming and friendly liked the fact you had self check in.Room was clean and comfortable and that you can book to eat in the resturant downstairs which we did.Due to the time we arrived the portions were well worth the money and service was excellent would recommend eating here. Breakfast was good as well.
When booking should mention that with breakfast is £8.00 limit and can pay difference if go over this as are number of options.I know it can't be helped due to size of the building shower was not very powerful.Overall I would recommend staying here.
Loud music from kitchen below our room staff told but made no difference stayed here five years ago put in same room bedding the same mattress to soft rolled over to edge kept on falling out of bed as it kept on collapsing same decor sink had been blocked for years by the looks of it shower useless too lazy to paint doors on stairs as all badly chipped won't be back
Excellent value for a budget hotel. Staff very helpful, room and public facilities very clean. Excellent food.
At about 7:45 am each morning the music was turned on in the restaurant and the base reverberated around the rooms in the hotel making it difficult to get a few more zeds. Better no music at this hour.
The accommodation was exactly what we needed for a night stay before getting the boat to Ireland. The rooms were clean with great facilities. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Clean, comfy but small room. Shower towels not refreshed/dried daily, but they did change them when requested. Breakfast charging is confusing. Our booking said inclusive but on arrival we were told there was a price limit. This could be clearer at point of booking. We spoke to staff and they were on the whole helpful.
Lovely staff, friendly and helpful. Room and bed good. Fabulous meal in Restaurant. Lovely breakfast which was included in price. Will definitely book again.
Stayed 1 night in room 5.. Spacious double ensuite suite room on first floor. Very comfortable bed, spotless shower room, great heating. Good location next to Pembroke docks.Ate in restaurant which was great quality.Breakfast was included and was plentiful and tasty. Choice of cooked breakfast/ smoothies/ granola +fruit / omelette / breakfast roll. All options come with hot drink or juice. (Up to £7 included, with option to pay extra for larger options)Friendly and helpful staff.
Took ages to get hot water in shower.Creaky ceilings. Could hear every step people above made.Neighbouring pub plays very loud music, which may affect some.
Self check in was good. Breakfast was good.
Our room was not as the pictures described. The paper was coming off the wall. The bathroom smelt like sewage waist, the WiFi password was not recognised after 5 attempts I gave up. Clean bedding and towels.
Comfortable, clean, warm. Friendly staff.
Nothing that we didn't like.
Good bed and good food.
Noise. Could hear every car pass by outside. Shower was weak as well.
The service in restaurant and complimentary coffee
No bath in the room
We had an evening meal, and it exceeded my expectations, hot fresh and presented lovely
The room was clean and tidy . The beds were very comfortable. The perfect place to stay overnight . We ate in the restaurant in the evening. Service was exceptional and the food was amazing value for money and very tasty. Breakfast menu had a varied choice and was very nice . I would certainly recommend the Dolphin Hotel
Getting away from the place!
The was dirty, loose floor boards with dirty bedside mats, dirty towels. The room and it’s furniture was totally worn out!
Rooms clean and warm, bed comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely.
Hallway needs a little tidy up, the smell of breakfast is a little strong in the hallway in the morning
