Pros +
- Staff and management
- It was easily accessible, right on n the Avon Valley Path so we didn’t have to go off trail to find it.Breakfast was very good too. They have a bookcase full of books if you have time to read.
- Breakfast was lovely and location was good for us. 2nd visit.
Cons -
- Bedding needs reviewing
- Sadly, kitchen closed at 2pm so we couldn’t lunch there, but there were other restaurants in town. We did have dinner there and it was very good. The Wifi wasn’t great but that didn’t really affect us very much.
- The room was dated and in need of a spruce up. There were parking facilities at the Ship Inn but guests were unable to use them, since Covid apparently???!!!!! This was really annoying as there was obvious space there. We were guided to a pay and display car park immediately behind the pub, once parked we walked through the EMPTY pub car park to our room :( Pay and display is EVERY day and from 8am :(

The bed linen was lovely, (the bed a little lumpy but that's just my personal opinion!) the room was however clean, the breakfast amazing :) The staff were very friendly.

staff friendly and very helpful, as usual.
my room this time was in need of a bit of TLC, but was comfortable. The toilet had a bad drain smell, but I was told this was due to a faulty macerator and was going to be looked at.
The bed was very comfy, the room (room1) was very clean and warm, lovely hot shower. The breakfast was 1st rate - cooked to order.
It was a little pricy for just one person - but I understand this because I was in a double room.
2nd stay here, clean comfy rooms. Lovely pub and staff. Excellent breakfast.
Nothing we didnt like
Friendly and helpful staffWe liked the bath in our roomThe room was warm and clean Our breakfast was very good
Decoration a bit dated
Its location in a beautiful town.Room was spacious and was very clean and comfortable
the staff were so polite, kitty and Lorraine especially. room was cozy and had all the facilitys needed.
the mattress little bit hard for our liking which made sleeping not very comfortable, water pressure in bath disappointing. only 2 small things we could think of really.
LocationLovely area + village
Food ok but overpriced in my opinion Rooms could do with modernising
Friendly and helpful staff!
Not really a dislike, just want to mention that you need to pay for daytime parking (8am-6pm, 7 days a week)
Staff were helpful and friendly and the full English breakfast was cooked to perfection with good quality thick cut bacon.
Public car parking was a bit of a nuisance, having to get to parking meter b4 8.00am so you don't get a parking ticket. Parking was free between 6.00pm and 8.00am. At least we could park very close to the pub entrance.
breakfast was great, selection of cereals, orange juice, coffee and hearty full, English breakfast.room was comfortable and quiet.
I think you could do better with breakfast menu. Your stuff was confused about what day offering us for breakfast.
I like Room? Quiet big room and clean nice smell.
The property was nice, although it’s a bit tired looking. Friendly and helpful staff.
It didn’t have facilities to blow dry my hair and the mirror was too dark to put my makeup on, they was a light but couldn’t turn it on!
Location good and although in a pub was quiet.
Room too small and cramped. Bed small. Big Breakfast but rather greasy.
Location was good but food was nothing to write home about. The two women bar staff were exceptional in terms of their communication and overall approach to customer service.
Did not like the bed. Slept badly.
Good facilities, excellent breakfast and very friendly staff
We only had breakfast which was excellent a lot to choose from and cooked to perfection (Thank you Chef)
Furniture in the bedroom needs updating and the bathroom plumbing was noisy
