    Pros +

    • Exceptional customer service. I had turned up for this booking on crutches having recently undergone surgery. Hotel staff were very helpful providing ice etc and making sure was comfortable. In the evening I'd overslept past the 8pm cut off for dinner service ( my own fault ) - Josh helped me order food despite this and make sure was looked after. Facilities really nice and good views would recommend!
    • Rooms decent size ,very comfortable Toiletries Tea , coffee , biscuits
    • Beautiful location and the golf was wonderful.

    Cons -

    • Baked Alaska for sweet in restaurant ,never seen an oven arrived completely frozen ?
    • The elevator was broken but they did offer to have someone from the kitchen to come help carry our bags
    • Nothing!

Beautiful location, pleasant helpful staff, spacious rooms with easy access.

    Nothing!

Good location for all the golf courses in the area. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. The rooms were a good size and the bathroom was clean and modern. Would stop again.

Beds were very soft. Personally I prefer a firm bed. We had an early start so when breakfast opens at 7.30 I do expect everything to be ready. Eggs and water didn't appear until 7.45am. For the first two days we were served breakfast at the table and the food was warm and spot on. Last day it was a buffet and we were down early and some of the food was luke warm.

We were a party of 12 golfers and everything met or exceeded our expectations. Fabulous outlook over the courses, really attentive staff who went the extra mile. Rooms were spotless and the whole three say visit went smoothly and exactly as planned.

Beautiful location. Room really good size and excellent shower. Dinner on first night was decent and good value for money.

The bed was a little lumpy.

    9CalumPosted on: 4-20-2025

Good room size, great shower, good facilities, beautiful view from the bar, good breakfast.

    8ChrisPosted on: 4-10-2025

Great location adjacent to golf course & with many other courses within easy reach; whilst only being 20 mins away from central Edinburgh by train.

    9HelenPosted on: 4-3-2025

    Venue & staff were excellent

I found the room to be too warm but no way to change it. When I opened the window all I could hear was the AC system!

Everyone at The Lodge were so friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable; it even had its own Nespresso machine. The breakfast buffet was a highlight of the stay and I enjoyed looking out over two beautiful golf courses every morning while eating breakfast. Finally, the location was perfect for me to access all of the fine golf courses in the area, with only a few minutes drive to Gullane and North Berwick. I will definitely stay at The Lodge again.

    Staff exceptional, very organised

Single bed in my room was very small and not comfortable. Breakfast a bit plain

    Mattress was poor.

    8LesterPosted on: 3-17-2025

Superb location and plenty of free parking. Nice breakfast.

    9RogerPosted on: 3-14-2025

Views over the golf courses and across the Firth of Forth are exceptional. Our seaview room was very comfortable. Staff are very helpful and friendly

Breakfast is the least exciting feature of this venue with good cooked course but cereals etc and bread/toast lack choice. Our choice on the dinner menu had run out by 7pm.

    9RichardPosted on: 3-11-2025

Excellent location, great view from the room, overlooking the golf course and Firth of Forth

On Line entry system was difficult to understand and did not work. Reception staff quickly sorted our keys.
