The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We were upgraded room as soon as we arrived, at no extra cost. The bed was huge and very comfy.

I would have preferred a bath rather than a shower, but otherwise I wouldn't change anything.

Room a little cold although radiator was going full blast there was quite a draft from window.

As much as we enjoyed our stay the room we were in was very dated. I did see the rooms on the ground floor looked like they'd had an upgrade. The price paid for a remote town off peak was fairly expensive.

Always friendly, super clean. Ive stayed here a few times. Highly recommended. Food is always amazing too.

Shower curtain clings as you shower and noise from room s around & above on one night- sound insulation not too effective.

We were travelling up from London on a late Thursday night which meant we would arrive in the reception's closing hours. Philip was so helpful and accommodating with our late arrival and had great communication throughout. During our stay, all staff members were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was enjoyable (albeit you must book the day before). Our room was very clean and comfortable - we were lucky enough to be upgraded which was a bonus. The location is also very central and only a short walk from the high street.

The hotel is a little tired and could do with some refurbishments in areas, but otherwise there is nothing not to like. It would be good if you could decide to have breakfast on the day as sometimes you're not sure of your plans.

Our room was upgraded on arrival and it was a really nicely decorated and furnished room with a big bathroom.

Lovely small hotel, easy access, lots of parking in such a pretty street. Asda nearby in case you've forgotten something. The room was very comfortable, warm and cosy, very clean and good linen. The towels were huge, divine. The bar is small but pleasant and nice decor throughout this hotel. I will visit again.....very nice stay. Thank you.

Not enough tea bags in the room, I only drink tea so 4 teabags for 2 people overnight is not enough in my opinion.

Breakfast was perfect, even for us pescatarians. Attention to detail in everything was flawless. Decor in room was new and 1st class, all the staff were super friendly, even to our dog Hugo. Highly recommended.

Well-located hotel with a cozy appearance and a delicious restaurant.

No soundproofing in the rooms — you can literally hear every movement from the neighbors and people in the hallway. The bedding is mediocre. Hygiene needs improvement; the cleaning is very questionable, especially in the bathroom.
