Pros +
- Location is good
- It was a perfect place for us. Room was clean and well laid out (if a wee bit small), dinner in the evening was good, and the continental breakfast was perfect. We'll be back.
- Evening meal was fresh and delicious. The mattress was comfortable and the decor was quirkier than the norm.
Cons -
- No cold running water in room. Room was tiny, suitable for 1 person only. No terrestrial TV. Locked out at 11.30pm, noone there to answer the door.
- The breakfast was continental so the only warm food available was toast. There were no pastries left at 9.30 and I didn’t see the cereal until after the meal because it was in a different space to the majority of the food. It’s also on a busy main road so it’s only quiet during the early early hours (1-6).
- Booking .com let me pay an extra £20 for dinner which the hotel did not accept so there for had to pay again for my dinner

Staff were friendly
Beds were uncomfortable no wardrobe bathroom very small tv difficult to operate
Lovely hotel, great location
Any time the people above used there bathroom all we could hear was the macerator pumping water way. The breakfast was poor and no meats or cheese no bread, had to ask and only bread came out and then had to hold the toaster down to get toast
Sorry nothing, reviews read were very misleading.
We booked two rooms for two nights, kids wanted to check out same night. We checked out after a nights stay. There is no proper ventilation, rooms are extremely small and can hear what the next room people talk. Even the snoring was heard all night. We checked out before 8am next day, we did not ask for a refund since it stated no refund. Rooms are expensive for the size. Toilet room doors are of glass so someone sitting on the bed can see one on the toilet seat, it's so annoying.
Great location - clean and friendly staff
Kitchen was closed
See above - shocked to...
Staff and room facilities were good. The disappointment was the fact that we were surrounded by and wakened around o6.00am by workmen outside our bedroom door chatting!! We felt as if we were sleeping in a workmen’s bothy! Not what anyone would expect. The space outside our room was dreadful, paint, furniture, ladders etc. couldn’t believe guests were subject to all this.
Location
Glass door on bathroom Very poor breakfast, no cooked breakfast and poor choice of continental, empty tea and coffee flask very little choice
Decor and location
Smell and very cold room. Holes in the window frame
Very friendly. Place was nicely done out
Our room was incredibly hot and stuffy. We did mention this to the hotel who said they will look into it.
Staff were amazing nice food and drinks
Only fault was starter mussels very small
Quirkey Hotel, lots to offer, cosey, large bed, perfect. Opposite the station, V.A., all you need.
Nothing to dislike. The Scots, as usual, make the English look pathetic.0
Central location and nice buffet breakfast, continental
Room small
The hotel was amazing great staff comfy and food was great
The location was really good couldn’t have got more central if we tried and then to find there was ample parking across the road and it was free, that’s novel and really started the stay off on a high, the staff and management are a attribute to the company and do their job so effortlessly you feel like family and being dog accepting was the pinnacle for us as Brenda was made to feel at home. We will be back
Nothing at all it was a beautiful boutique hotel, the pictures on line are new nothing was old or tatty.
Location was excellent both for exploring Helensburgh and the surrounding areasParking was very straightforwardThe staff were very helpful and always tried to accommodate
The breakfast was a little disappointing being only a continental breakfast and became repetitive after a few daysThe room was smaller than expected
Location good food
Room was small
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were also extremely spacious and comfortable.
