Whyte Harte Hotel

Stayed for work purposes; did not know about this place, but definitely would recommend. Brian was very kind and lovely. The pub has a cosy familiar atmosphere, the rooms were a very pleasant surprise, very comfortable, clean and had a lovely night of sleep. Breakfast was also very good!

We were greeted by the host and made to feel very welcome. He helped my elderly mother up the stairs and made sure we knew how to operate the tv. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious!

The lead from the kettle didn’t reach the plug socket. We had to make a cup of tea on the floor!

This is a lovely pub/ hotel. The owners and staff are really welcoming. The pub is very old (some parts from 14th century) and has the charm to match. That said, it's definitely not dated! Really strong WiFi all over, it's extremely clean and tidy and a good selection of ales/ lagers and spirits.We stayed 2 nights. The room was really clean and comfortable. There's a small carpark (no extra charge) and we never had a problem getting a space. What looks like a newly built outdoor covered area is a great touch.Special mentions go to the wonderful chef, Tim who went over and above to make our stay even better. He obviously takes immense pride in his menu with freshly cooked ingredients. The full English breakfast is the best I've ever had as was the steak burger. Thanks Tim, we really appreciated all you did. Sometimes the little things make a massive difference.

Not a deal-breaker, but our room was quite small but immaculately clean, tidy and the bathroom was great.

Fantastic staff,down to earth, to help in any way.it was a day trip and a lovely hotel to book with family. They never complain even when you ask too much. The staff was amazing when they helped book a carb to attend my sister's birthday party and the carb was running late-the carb driver was monitored till he arrived .thank you to you all for making our stay a memorable one .food was excellent. Lovely room, smart bathroom. Beautifully clean. Comfy bed. Very friendly and helpful check in. Lovely old pub in great condition.

Room (6) would be too small for two people. The bed is against the wall on one side and the door on the other so no room on either side for a bed side table. No breakfast provided even though it was included in the price. Agreed it for 9 am the night before but when I went down there was no table laid, nothing laid out such as cereals and no one around. Someone was in the kitchen but couldn’t hear or see me.

The property was perfectly located .The owners could not have been more accommodating and welcoming.They went as far as offering me an additional room at no extra cost as my circumstances had changedThe chef and housekeeping staff were super friendly and it felt like home from home.I will definitely be back.Thank you again.It is reassuring to know that in this crazy world there are good people who are prepared to go the extra mile ?

Amazingly accommodating team here. We were here for a funeral nearby. Great food, great facilities and would come back in a heart beat

The rooms in the modern part were a bit warm and the bed gave you that “roll together” experience … which if you are trying to keep away from your snoring partner might not be ideal.

Food was excellent I had evening meal and breakfast. Good choice at both well prepared and presented. All the staff went out of their way to be pleasant and helpful. From reception, bar staff, kitchen staff and cleaner were all first class. I attended a funeral wake there which was extremely busy and again even with the oub being packed all the staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating. I had my assistance dog with me and this was no issue for the staff. There was at least one other dog in the busy bar area and this was also not a problem.I can praise enough and would not hesitate to recommend or stay again/

The food was excellent, and hot, both dinner and breakfast. The staff were really nice, and helpful. The log fire was a warm welcome, and the pub was buzzing and welcoming

I’ve been unable to receive an invoice for my stay despite multiple requests. This is not a suitable arrangement when staying for business purposes

It was convenient to our journey it was a little noisy but we were trying to sleep after long flight breakfast was a little disjointed and slow to be served but staff were pleasant May be needed a bit more organisation as there were only two couples to be served and only one staff member who was it appears also cooking! Parking was also difficult but staff assistance helped with this room very clean and had all facilities you might want didn’t have the evening meal so cannot comment on that

Noisy room as over back carpark and smoking area we did however sleep as just completed very long flight

Very convenient for North Downs Referrals where my dog was being a patient. Staff were very kind food was great, photos breakfast and dinner

The bed. No glass in room for water. No tissues in room. Breakfast - tea in glass mug would prefer a teapot. No menu - was not offered any cereal - juice after breakfast

Location to the golf course

The room had a bad smell of drains.The reception was the bar which was somewhat of an unsavoury experience on arrival.My room wax above a n outside smoking area and I also had to endure the smell of smoke and individuals shouting on their phones at 7am

The rooms have been completely refurbished and everything works quite well. However there are a number of small teething troubles that could be improved. Needs to be a hook in the bathroom to hang your towel. The motion sensing light in the bathroom was too sensitive and came on overnight without reason.Staff are very helpful. Great shower. Comfy bed. Staff welcoming. Food met our needs, good to have options for breakfast and lunch, tasty.

Nothing. Speed of service for food especially lunch could have been quicker. However staffing for breakfast was amazing how much one person can achieve. Coped very well under pressure. Good customer interaction.

WE EXPECTED A LARGER ROOM.THE ROOM HAD NO MIRROR IN IT ONLY IN THE BATHROOM, DIFFICULT TO DO YOUR HAIR AND MAKE UP.THE KETTLE LEAD WASNT LONG ENOUGH TO REACH THE PLUG SOCKET.NO WARDROBES OR DRAWERS.WIFI AND SKY TV KEPT DROPPING OUT.
