    Pros +

    • Genuinely pleasant, welcoming staff;late check-in; convenient 24-hour access to atmospheric bar room, with no obligation to spend; well-cleaned toilets; good transport links to central London (bus stop just outside); many shops nearby; soft lights in dorm
    • Very friendly customer services.
    • The staff were excellent. Absolutely A1. Beds very clean. Not noisy after 10pm. Take earplugs. Flip flops for in the shower and a padlock.

    Cons -

    • Check in was late by one hour due to cleaning issues. The room smelt awful, it was dusty and dirty. The beds were tiny and uncfortable. I checked out in 1 hour because staying there would have been inhumane.
    • Empty pub and still had to wait 15 minutes because staff ignores your presence Almost empty hostel and still gives you a room in the top floor, where there is only 1 person in the room, somehow the room smells bad, with 3 level bunk beds and STILL top be
    • Dorm-sharers mildly annoying (not the hostel's fault!); toilets being cleaned during peak time (though this seems standard among hostels); cleaner was good-looking but spoke little English; food menu fairly pricey

It was way too hot on the top bunk. You can’t sit up on the bottom. But it’s worth it for the cost

    The pub and the location.

The bathrooms were not quite clean or at least they should be cleaned more times during the day. The heating was off in the bedroom.

    Disgusting

The hotel manager’s attitude and behavior are extremely bad. He is not helpful in any matter. He is the one providing the service, yet he looks down on people. He is also racist. He arbitrarily canceled my extended reservation, even though it was something that could have been excused as a one-time situation. On top of that, despite camera recordings proving everything, he falsely accused me of insulting the staff. On my last day, they unlawfully denied me entry to the hotel. They threw my belongings into trash bags and tossed them out. Many of my items are missing, and they refused to take any responsibility. He may have become a manager, but he has not learned how to be a decent human being.

The staff was nice, there was private showers.

There was someone sleeping in my bed when I arrived to the room.... So I had to find somewhere else to sleep and there was no hot water!

The rooms were nice. Toilets and shower facilities were clean. Staffs were nice too

Should be less number of beds in the room I lived in. There were 15, it felt a little conjusted.

They were able to accommodate my request for a bottom bunk bed. The staff were very friendly. Excellent location, very easy to find. And comfortable

One of the bathrooms is not very practical, there's no glass door around the shower so the water just goes everywhere around the bathroom, which makes it very difficult when you finish showering and you need to get dressed because nobody wants to put their clean towel on the floor. Also meant the entire bathroom was wet for the next person.

Excellent location, not far from Clapham Junction Station. Comfortable beds. Great customer service.

Great staff overall, the pub is near central and very convenient .

The room was extra hot as one of the heater had a malfunction. We had this massive and loud fan in the room. That was a bit of a downer, but overall OK.

    7BenjaminPosted on: 1-15-2026

Friendly, simple to navigate, good location.

Noisy. Some beds are a bit too creaky.

    7BenjaminPosted on: 1-15-2026

    Friendly, simple process.

People can be inconsiderate with noise but it is a hostel after all. Some beds are too creaky.

    Dirty place

I only stay for one night and I asked for refund.. they told me no refund.

    6LinPosted on: 1-6-2026

For the price we paid in a room for 3 people it was basic but fine. We were only sleeping there but you will need eye masks and ear plus as it can get a little noisy. Food was great and the staff were really friendly and helpful. On a bus route into town so £ 1.75 gets you a great road trip into the city centre seeing loads of highlights. Who needs a hop on hop off!!

It's a hostel so whilst everything is clean when you start it depends on who else is using the facilities and how clean they are. Cooking /hot drinks facilities would be nice but not a real issue and the decor is well overdue a quick repaint but other than that it's fine. I would stay again.

The room is clean. Staff are friendly. The location is easy to get bus to the other part of the city.
