Book A Bed Hostels

Staff were extremely nice and helpful. The bed was comfortable. Shower room and restrooms were always clean. Other guests were nice. Lockers for personal stuff.

There was a heat wave so it was warm at night (Not the places fault) We just went out and bought little fans and it was great. The room had a big fan that moved air but the personal fan was perfect. My daughter needed ear plugs but she is a light sleeper

The staff

Too expensive. A private double room to which we had to upgrade, despite the hostel not being full. The toilet was on a next level, showers were next to us unfortunately, in the middle of every night one guest was being sick in the showerthat it woke us.

Clean rooms. Good value for money. Local.

Good value for money so can get booked go quickly over busy times. Sometimes only have female firms left when busy.

You can’t stay more than 7 days consecutively. You have to stay a few days and then come back, due to their hostel rules. But I think that may be the case with a lot of the short stay hostels.

Bad

Worst place to stay at, bed bugs, felt really unsafe. Booking.com is also scam posting this as a good place to stay.

I really liked the staff and the receptionist. Welcomed was warm

The only thing I didn't like is the toilet and the shower is not really clean and there was also a lack of toilet paper

Key system is amazing, it’s just on your mobile phone! Free drinkable water! Curtains on bed plus little private light and socket! Mirror in room, good internet! Very clean. Comfy bed and pillow! Kettle and microwave and fridge in corridor.

Showers and toilets have not enough privacy, it’s just cabins. No lounge room where it’s possible to work on laptop. Next to kettle is only two seats, always busy. Basically u can chill only on bed.

Localitions.

The accommodation has no place to eat, the microwave is in the corridor, and there are termites in the mattress, leaving bite marks everywhere.

Location was good. Helpful staff. Good sleep. Microwave, Fridge, and Kettle.

Lack of space for having your own breakfast. Pub area is apparently open only after 9am or later.

I was helped by a young women at the reception to change rooms.

The bunks are very small and cramped. The check in was very long and the check in staff was not fully aware of how check in should be done

It's a very clean hostel and close to trains and buses to all parts of London... members of staff are very friendly and good listeners and ready to attend to the needs of guests

I didn't really see any negatives..

The staff were helpful. The bathrooms were clean. The tavern lobby was cool, and I liked the neighborhood (there's a little cafe nearby called wakey wakey that's lovely). Very close to the New Cross overground station. They provide outlets next to the beds.

There was very little privacy. Some of the rungs on the curtains were broken, so there were massive gaps where someone could see into the bunk. The windows barely opened. Someone in the hostel smoked weed and since we could barely open the windows, the entire room smelled like weed while I was staying there. The hand dryer in the bathroom didnt work. The ladders to the top bunks and the lockers were VERY loud so anytime someone went up the ladder or opened their locker in the middle of the night, everyone would be woken up.

I liked the entrance with the bar with tables and chairs, and the welcoming of the staff ! Beds were clean, actually the room was fine !

The showers were so cold (2 on 4 of the showers), and there was a cold air from the ventilation in the bathroom

I didn't have Breakfast.. Location is good

Fixing the the Bathroom and Toilets lock..

Big room, comfy bed and close to 2 overground stations.

Very dated & shabby (not how the pictures show). There was only 1 sink to use for teeth etc in the toilet block - toilets were also located in the open hall right outside our room door so we could hear everybody doing their business all night! Locks for the rooms were questionable.

Very little to be happy about

The manager handling faulty equipment. They. Don't care for service etiquette. The place is dated and the pictures online was probably taken 20 years ago. Wouldn't stay there again

The property was east to locate . It was very clean as well. The toilet and bathroom were all clean.

It was my first time in such a place and I loved the property. The only thing I didn't like was lack of respecting sleeping among some of the "tenants " . Someone could enter the bang the door instead of being gentle knowing very well that it's midnight. One could also enter and put on the light in midnight when people were sleeping. Some were also receiving noisy phone calls just outside the door. I didn't sleep the whole night due in due to unregulated noise, although I liked the place. I wish the management will do something about this.

Friendliness of the other guests. Abx staff.

Carpets could change and doors and walls a repaint. Other than that it was a really good stay.

Good location,clean, cheap

It can be a little noisy for the apartments near the common bathroom. The beds[matresses] are quite used.
