Lovely clean and bright chalet. Right behind the local pub so great for accessing meals if you need them.

Had to get the heating turned on ?

Good location for walking and on site of pub that serves nice reasonably priced food. Able to watch Netflix & IPlayer on TV. Nice to have the fridge & microwave. Crockery & cutlery were provided and there was fresh milk in fridge and two mini boxes of cereal plus tea/coffee. Nicely decorated. Bar staff were exceptional, friendly, helpful and polite. Very dog friendly both in chalet and the pub and did not charge extra to allow her to stay. The walks were lovely with great views of the area.

Could have done with extra pillows as the one provided was a little thin & a mattress protector would have made me feel more comfortable. No desk/table in room to eat dinner/breakfast.Chalet faces small play area and beer garden and was a little noisy, we stayed early week, I can imagine it gets busier and noisier at the weekends.Dirty glass and cigarette butts outside chalet-these were removed by bar staff the day after we arrived but it wasn’t nice to arrive to. No toiletries were provided or tea towel to dry plates.

Immaculately clean , keys on arrival in lockbox so no check in. The staff were lovely , the view from the garden is amazing. The pub that adjoins the cottages is great , beer and food were both exceptional couldn't fault it for that price. Defo going back.

Row of chalets on the site of a pub. Easy parking. Good, clean chalets with a nice selection of tea, coffee, cereal, milk etc.Small bathroom but clean and adequate.

Initial confusion with booking as for some reason they hadn't received my booking.com reservation. Host provided me with a drink while she prepared my chalet.

Nice to have cereal provided, enjoyed our lunch we sat outside as the weather was lovely. Staff very friendly.

Better pillows and sadly the fridge wasn’t working. We were informed that there would be some disruption due to an 18th birthday party but not until 4 days before our stay, it would be nice to know this information when booking.

    Disappointing.

TV didn't work. Blocked shower drain. Couldn't turn off the outside light so the room was bright. Traffic noise. No smoke alarm.

Was convenient to lots of scenic places

Nono toiletries which we had to go out and get simple thing like hand soap

    10GillianPosted on: 7-9-2023

It was clean, tidy and hassle free

Bathroom could have been better but it was clean.

    6LouisePosted on: 5-9-2023

it’s proximity to family, comfortable and clean

road noiseunfortunately an empty shower gel container in the showerfresh milk had kindly been provided but there were no tea bags, likewise an ironing board but no iron.

    8RichardPosted on: 4-16-2023

Warm, comfortable with everything we needed. Dog friendly

Unfortunately the adjoining pub / restaurant was closed.

Comfy bed. Location was lovely with the fields and hills. Convenient stop on way to London

Unfortunately the room was not cleaned at all which really let down the rating and our experience of the chalet.. The shower was dirty. The duvet cover was stained. There were no pillow cases in the pillows. The draws were still not cleaned from precious client...hair and hair clips found. No sanitary bin in toilet for ladies. Hand soap not filled. Coffee, sugars and teas not filled. Tea cups and ceral bowls not cleaned. Inside of fridge was left some old milk. And then there was no fire alarm in the unit and one of the lights looked like it was about to fall out. If the room had been cleaned and the above taken care of then our experience and review would be better. We shall not recommend or use this facility as a stop over again.

The lady who prepared our room went above and beyond. She really took the time to make sure we felt looked after. The pub was closed for an event for a few hours and she even came down to make sure we weren't hungry and offered us to have some food made up especially. I wish I'd asked her name as it's rare to get service like that these days! Beautiful room and location too. We will certainly be staying again!

    Couldn't fault a thing.
