Great staff
Showers in pool area dirty. Room very tired but clean
Very relaxing great facility’s staff were friendly.
No about the property as such. We had booked through booking. Com were it told us we had half board for our dinner and an allowance of £30 each per night. On arrival the £30 allowances were taking away as we were told it was not possible to give us it and that booking. Com should not be offering us it. As our stay would be to cheap and the hotel would be practically letting you stay for free. I found this very disappointing luckily we were in a position to be able to afford meals without the allowance but maybe family who take this offer may be less fortunate as they think there turning up with costs provided for the meal at dinner. It’s very miss leading and should be rectified.
Staff were amazing so friendly. Marcus the barman was so knowledgeable about the hotel and area an asset to the hotel
Rooms are very tired in bad need of a refurbishment. Room was to be a deluxe double room and what we got was a king size bed made from two single beds put together so in the middle was a hard area of the two mattresses put together . Head board worm out.chairs in the room were worn out and tired . Carpet full of stains . Lovely big windows that had not been washed in ages which is supposed to be a golf course view room.
It was great overall. Nice scenery great facility’s friendly staff. Food was very nice too.
Only issue was when booking through booking. Com it says you get a £30 half board for dinner per person each night we booked. But when we arrived we were told this was not the case I think this is miss leading and should be fixed. If someone was on a budget for there stay this could be a problem for them as the food and drinks are a bit pricey. But this was the only issue and did not dampen our stay.
It was lovely! Great family room, amazing view, lovely swimming pool/spa and had dinner there which was delicious! Pleasantly surprised as we managed to get a winter deal so expectations were way exceeded! Would def go back!
Coffee was like strong syrup. Pillows sunk in the middle and bunched at each side so not hugely comfy. 2 minor points as overall, the hotel and facilities were superb!
Pool, Room,Location.Restaurant Staff were great, Salim was very good
Dinner was average, Rigatoni was overcooked, Bolognaise was bland.Soggy Onion rings with Cumberland Sausage. Meringue topping wasn't cooked properly.Had a £10 service charge added to the bill?? Why??Breakfast was dreadful.Overcooked cold potato scones, Had to wait 10 minutes for fresh bacon and sausages, coffee was awful.Toast and fruit juice were excellent, and the view from our table.Reception did not address my issue re breakfast, almost blasé about it.Could have, should have stayed at the HydroVery dissapointed Valentine Break.
My wife and I have just come home from our second stay at this hotel and it a wonderful hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the food is also amazing. My wife is disabled and would have liked to have made use of the pool but the lift wasn't working. We were told we'd have to go around the hotel from the outside. We obviously visited when it was very snowy so we decided not to go. We will definitely visit at better time of the year next time. Its a wonderful place to stay.
The location was beautiful and very scenic, which made for a lovely stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and ensured a great night’s sleep. The only slight downside was that the “king” bed was actually two twin beds pushed together, which was a little noticeable and slightly inconvenient. Overall, though, it was a pleasant and comfortable experience.
The room was in need of some updating. The shower tray was chipped and worn, and unfortunately the water temperature never got properly hot - although the water pressure was excellent. The décor matched the hotel’s Scottish heritage theme, which I appreciated, but the room itself felt tired and would really benefit from a refresh. At times it had more of a care home feel than a welcoming hotel space. The television was also quite basic and seemed outdated. With some modernisation and attention to maintenance, the overall experience could be significantly improved.
