Pros +
- Location. Cleanliness. Breakfast
- Friendly and helpful staff. Good location and parking. Large room with a view of the garden and hills. We have stayed here before and would come again.
- Really friendly staff, lovely comfy rooms with great breakfast. Also loved the quirky items decorating the communal areas from a recently closed down nearby mill. Lovely original touch, perfectly blending upcycling & local history.
Cons -
- Bathroom
- The breakfast has a great selection of fruit, cereal, cold meats, cheese and pastries as well as the usual cooked items. There is a coffee shop and lunch is also served. The dinner portions were large and the menu offers various burgers and fried foods served with fries or chips. I think the menu could be more varied. On our second night we chose from the small plates and managed a pudding.
- I could hear bit reception noise & tv sounds from next door room but as is hotel to be expected. These are pretty minor things though as overall had great stay thanks & will def be back!!

Cleanliness
Had to change a couple of rooms as very noisy at night due to noise of constant running water. Also dog charge now £30 each night which I think is excessive so will look into alternate accommodation for our next visit
Friendly staff on reception and at breakfast. Lovely cosy, comfortable & warm room. The cooked breakfast was superb, good quality ingredients, nicely presented & cooked to order how we asked for it, without a problem.Great price, we will definitely stay again.
Lovely friendly staff. Nice clean room overlooking the garden. In house bakery with good choice of cakes. Good breakfast. Plenty of parking spaces. Great location with a short walk into the town centre.
Breakfast superb.
Toilet badly placed squeezed into tiny area.Continuous buzzing noise all night. Could not find source - kept me awake.
Other than what is stated belong everything else was fine , staff very helpful
Asked for double bed , was 2 single beds , breakfast was cold on our first day .no robes or slippers as stated on the booking. Lighting was poor in the room , could have been brighter
Bathroom and bedroom decor and cleanliness were excellent
Nothing stood out although we weren’t able to use the restaurant area for a drink and had to sit on our own in a separate room at a table with dining chairs rather than a comfortable sofa
The hotel is well situated for Peebles high street and surrounding area. The food is excellent and well presented. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Our only issue we had was the lack of comfy seating and a relaxing area I.e. a lounge .
The rooms were nice spacious and modern
It just lacked the character and comfiness you need as a resident . No lounge area for residents - it was just geared up for the coffee shop - we knew we would not be able to eat in the dining room as we had our dog with us but the table are small - the staff were ok but didn’t really go out of their way to make connections which are always important especially when people are away for Christmas - even the decorations didn’t bring a smile …
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The dinner and breakfast were very good. The bar area where we ate was very cosy and welcoming. Everything was very clean.
The bathroom was a bit small.
The location of the hotel is in a great spot right in the heartbeat of Peebles. The breakfasts are really nice and the staff are lovely and friendly
Gorgeous hotel in fantastic location.Great value for money and lovely breakfast.
Only negative was the towel heater in bathroom which was very hot and couldn't to the best of our knowledge be turned ofg.
Wonderful staff who make the Park! Very friendly and helpful. Ideal location with plenty of parking at front of house. Very comfortable firm bed and wonderful shower.
Room was at front of hotel overlooking the car park and busy road. No double glazing (old building) and my husband couldn't get slept due to noise of traffic and people speaking outside - we were in room 80 which is above the front entrance almost. We chose to eat dinner in the hotel; I really wish we hadn't. We both had fish and chips and the chips were three times cooked; what we got was verging on burnt chips. Breakfast was awful too. We both chose the cooked breakfast. My fried egg was snotty on top and burnt underneath. The croissants were doughy. Thankfully I had some grapefruit and melon. I would advise not eating at the hotel and going to the centre of Peebles where there are plenty of eateries. We will not return to the Park Hotel.
The Tryst is very good, with a comfortable lounge. The staff were very helpful, especially with an early breakfast.
No complaints at all.
Staff were very attentitive and friendly.Room was very comfortable and warm.Food was excellent.
Excellent staff and the hotel was off a good quality.
Found the beds to be rock hard. And flat pillows.
Nice building, great location, lovely breakfast, didn't get to try meals as it was fully booked. Had coffee and cake which was delicious and cocktails were lovely too
Bedrooms very small, too many different public rooms which kind of spoiled the flow, one room in particular had a white painted table which looked dirty and was tacky to touch, we didn't want to sit at it, but as there were 6 of us and the bar and other rooms were full with functions this was our only choice. I understand that it was clean and certain cleaning chemicals had obviously reacted with the paint or varnish, but it just didn't look good at all, and this was our first impression. Perhaps a bit more staff training with regards to breakfast, ie keep checking whats running low, we had to ask for butter, orange juice and a couple of other things. The staff were all really nice and friendly
Breakfast was very good.Staff were so helpful and friendly.Peebles is a great town.
Wi fi was poorShower over bath not so easy for older prople!
