Pros +
- The staff were all very good and helpful from start to finish. Hotel was clean, and the food was very good
- The cooked breakfast had a lot of meals to choose from. The continental breakfast not so many choices. The restaurant was pleasant to sit in and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Hearty breakfast good choice and ideal location in heart of Aberlour and amenities
Cons -
- I would have preferred mugs in the room to have tea or coffee. A small car park but we were able to park.
- In terrible condition. Marks everywhere. Hot tap broken. One light broken. I brought someone here for their birthday and was so embarrassed. Not worth the money.
- Being right on the main Road, the busy traffic morning and evening was a bit noisy…but not so much as to cause any major problems

Located close to walks and distillery. Quiet enough but on a busy road. Staff were nice and breakfast was fine.

Quaint old Hotel located right in the centre of Aberlour…close to shops, restaurants and other attractions, all within easy walking distance. A very nice breakfast was included in the tarrif. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Great staff, good food, all cleanRooms different but comfyNice breakfast
Parking area a bit small, but ok
Accessibility to Speyside and lovely situation next to the Spey.
Room average, carpet stained and shower had black mould around the edges of the shower.
cracking base for our family get together, very comfortable and friendly staff, could not fault it
I did not like that the price first quoted months before our visit changed, and we had to accept the changes as there was nothing else available in the area due to it being games weekend, use this site lots and this was the first time this had happened, was not impressed.
The cost of the room for one night b&B was very excessive for a small independent hotel. People for friendly and obliging but hotel is not 4 star and above. Hotel is a little bit aged.
As above
It was very central
It was very noisy. We got a room overlooking the Main Street and did not sleep well as a result. The hotel should consider some double glazing or similar.
A very nice hotel, central in the city. Good food and breakfast. The room was equipped with a vinyl player, that was a very nice surprise for us.
A little noisy since the hotel is located at main street but that we understood already when we booked the hotel. The traffic is not so heavy during the night.
Good location, friendly staff and nice food
The staff were excellent - very friendly and incredibly hard working. Nothing was too much trouble, including during the Highland Games, which places exceptional demands on them.
No complaints.
Friendly staff, cute decor very thoughtful touch with the record player in the room..
Rooms were hot, no a/c and one of the rooms didn't even have a fan. We requested it and we're told by the staff that here was a fan placed in the room a few times and there wasn't.
Staff were very friendly and the location was great. The Cullen Skink was also very nice.
Food in general was a bit greasy. The milk at breakfast was off and curdled in my cup of tea. Paint was peeling off the wall in our room/bedroom.
Located in a great location. Handy to walk to the Aberlour distillery which is why we chose it
We were on the top 2 floors and unfortunately as the weather was hot this made our rooms very uncomfortable. They supplied fans but this wasn’t enough to cool down the rooms. Also, there were a lot of stairs to climb to our rooms.
Kind staff, good breakfast, free car park.
Location is good, food and service match the price
Breakfast wasn’t bad
Room tiny and no en-suite, having to access the bathroom by leaving the room and up the common hallway was a first and an annoyance more than anything - room was over priced given this.
Breakfast, location, staff. All very good and well worth the visit. Close proximity to a shop next door, a bar onsite and a plethora of distilleries a short drive away.
The hotel is very outdated, cracks in the ceiling and walls, and hallway, carpets & the bedroom etc were all tired. Bed had one of those awful mattresses with springs you can feel digging into your back.
