Pros +
- Friendly family run hotel
- The staff were welcoming and when I asked to be moved to a quiet room, as I had requested on my booking and been assured of, they rearranged promptly.
- Location was perfect for our needs. Small town with restaurants, pubs and grocery. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. It's a nice little place, excellent value if you need a place to stop over or a base to explore the country-side.
Cons -
- My bathroom was very cold, seemed the window was letting air in
- The shower was stone cold and the plumbing made strange noises throughout the night. Possibly because I was on the top floor and there was a contraption in the bathroom which was obviously for water pressure purposes. It was noisy but it didnt work.
- Out dated, needs down up and the standard s were very poor

Good location for getting to wedding at Old Meldrum House

Good value. Free parking. Nice bar. Great location.
Free pool in bar, reasonable prices in bar for alcohol.
No b.reakfast available { we did ask } Room main light not working. Electric wall socket beside fridge/microwave hanging loose. Bedside cabinet fell apart when opening to put items in. General condition of room poor,
Very friendly staff, basic but nice enough bedroom, handy location.
Bathroom was a bit old and had a lot of mould around the edges of the shower.
Excellent location, room cleanliness was acceptable, the staff we met were nice. Very comfortable bed, ample towels for our stay.
Very thin walls, could hear every conversation had by others. Room could benefit from side lamps instead of just the big lights on.
Great location and nice bar, with pool table, downstairs.
Right in the town centre. Easy to park. Pub downstairs. What's not to like!

Warm Comfortable room
Friendly cheap place to stay for a couple of nights in the area we needed to be. Nice crowd in the bar in the evening and friendly staff.
It needs some attention in terms of decor etc

Room was a bit cramped, shower was high up, needed a step! Kettle leaked
location
£75 for I night! no breakfast but I knew that in advance. lots of mould round the shower base. very basic accommodation. no phone in the room but WiFi available. noone on site overnight. as a single female traveller, I won't be staying here again.
Very little! The sheets were clean as was the towels.
There was nowhere to sit as a family. The pub was just a drinking man’s room which stank of sour beer…….one person got up from the bar as I was checking in and sprayed air freshener!! The two bedrooms we had had unclean showers, curtains hanging off the rail, chipped paint and wallpaper needing stuck back on. The bed, tho clean, was very uncomfortable as were the pillows and the one room had a very temperamental lock making getting in and out difficult……fire hazard. Massive stains on the stair carpet especially on the half landing - disgusting!! Web pictures totally misleading ?It annoys me so much when having paid, in this case 2X £75 for rooms, it isn’t anywhere near as good and clean as I could have at home!!
The bed was clean.I liked the view of the morning sky from the upstairs room, Parking was convenient.
There was NO breakfast!! And it was £75 per night in a tiny room!!Third floor, no elevator. There was mould in the shower, so did NOT use it!! In the 'bathroom' there was the smallest sink ever seen!
Warm and welcome upon arrival.Cleam room and comfyAny questions answered and dealt swift and easily.
Unfortunately could hear next door very clearly.
Bad
I got locked out at night by my workmate who fell asleep.. there was no night staff to let me in and I had to book a second hotel
Nice easy check in and out
Small room mouldy shower toilet seat has seen better days
This was a wonderful little Inn/Pub. We got here late and checked in. They advised us where to go grab some food and said to bring it back to the pub to eat. We sat in the pub for a few hours and chatted with some locals and then the bartender who was the daughter of the owners. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The room was nice and comfortable and had everything we needed. We requested 2 rooms, and they were right next two each other.
