Crown and Anchor

Lovely Inn in a quiet village not far form the Cotswolds, Highclere Castle and Blenheim Palace. Beautifully decorated interiors, and AMAZING food, both at breakfast and dinner.

Staff were fantastic - friendly, attentive and efficient. Rooms were very well appointed, comfortable and clean. The food was perfectly cooked, well presented and served in comfortable and tastefully decorated surroundings. I am so pleased that I came across the Crown and Anchor and will certainly be back if I am ever in the area again

The staff was great and the food was excellent. I would have liked a handel to help get in and out of the bath, but that is just a personal choice.

A walk-in shower would be easier than the bath, but that is personal choice.

It was very clean and modern and warm .the staff were attentive and even left us a packed bacon roll and orange juice as we were too early leaving before breakfast .

Unfortunately we must have had room on top of the kitchen so there was white noise from an extraction system or something causing a throbbing noise which was distracting for sleep but I am very sound sensitive . The menu was interesting but we really just wanted a bar meal so ate at another pub in the next village sadly where a meal cost under £15 . This wasn’t possible at the crown and anchor. The environment was lovely however the crown and anchor .

Great stay, very nice pub/restaurant downstairs, loved that they automatically reserved a table for us. Cosy, stylish room. Food was exceptional, both for dinner and breakfast.

Ambience wonderful.A hidden gem.lf you want a "Get away from it all" this is the place.Food was outstanding and staff very accommodating.Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

We have just left the crown and anchor, we are gutted to not be staying there longer!Lovely, clean, dog friendly rooms. Fantastic restaurant, we had a beautiful breakfast lunch and multiple dinners here which were all delicious. You must try their food!Staff were all fab, special mention to Marina, George and Ben. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back!

Lovely little village. Fabulous pub. Staff were friendly.and helpful. Evening meal and breakfast was superb. Room was clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again. Hard to beat, we loved it.

A wider menu choices would be nice, ideally with more exciting options rather than the standard pub food. Having said that, the food was not too bad.

Great friendly staff. Made me feel very welcome. This is a little gem in the countryside. Breakfast was amazing. Room was nice and cozy. Couldn't fault it at all.

The room was large and beautifully decorated with lovely shower products. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable with lovely duvet. We have stayed at several hotels locally and this is without doubt the best.

In a great village location this is a fabulous bed and breakfast pub with stylish rooms and bar and restaurant. The service was exceptional and the food delicious. We would highly recommend a stay here, not to be missed!
