Nice grounds

No water in the room, no biscuits with tea and coffee in room. The pool area is very dated with bad stains on the ceiling. Showers were falling apart. Confusion with my payment when I arrived even tho I paid through booking.com. Being chased down for payment at dinner after I signed to room demanding they need payment. I’m disappointed really it was my 3rd time staying and don’t think I will stay again.

Beautifully located an amazing golf resort..Swimming pool was nice, warm, clean.Steam room / Sauna/ changing room, bar, everything was really nice except food (not delicious, no variety)

Food, dinner is restaurant was super late on valentines night, we were on our table sitting waiting for food for almost 1 hr and when it came we all just couldn’t eat it due to delay, and was served so much without any touch of improvement - it was all bread and cheese, cold within 5 mins of serving on table.Rest all was perfect, but sorry to say neither breakfast option slightly change, nor dinner was any where close to nice, warm and good. They don’t even change varieties of juice or fruits everyday, so repeating same option every morning was just too boring.

it was really spacious and great design

when we arrived to the hotel there were two individuals who were upgraded and offered either strawberries or chocolate (assuming because it was valentine’s day) neither of which we were offered. We waited over 50 minutes up to an hour for our food it was clear that they were understaffed this was in the cooper’s restaurant. People who arrived after us (4 different couples) were all served before us. The food was to a good standard so that made up for it however for the price we paid including a service charge for understaffed service and late food we didn’t understand why this was included. The room was nice however it seemed like a rushed clean. They also weren’t able to move our booking forward due to availability however there was still availability for our preferred evening and of the night we originally booked. We also never received a reply from booking.com regarding the booking after id explained there was availability so unsure of why that occurred. Overall, the stay was okay however we don’t think we’d return.

Nice grounds, the hotel had great facilities , the staff were lovely and the food (breakfast and dinner) were great. Couldn’t fault the place.

We've stayed here a couple of times and can't fault the staff, food (especially the breakfast it's always exceptional) everywhere is always extremely clean and tidy, and our dogs are welcomed, which they are of course. Nothing is ever to much trouble for any of the staff. It's our Go to hotel if we're visiting and trekking around the area

Tried to charge for robes in the room I had booked for my two adult children to stay in. We had 2x rooms (1x speciality room and 1x twin double room) and they expected us to pay an additional £10 for robes for the twin room… I travel all over the world and when you have booked 2x rooms (£400), played golf (£100), already booked a table in the restaurant (where we spent over £260) they then can’t offer a free robe for the spa in a spa hotel! This is why hospitality is dying in the Uk!

Wasn’t enough towels in the room for a family of four and also no bottled water

The pool and restaurant were fantastic. The room was very spacious but furniture could do with updating. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and delicious. Children were very well catered for and staff were lovely.

Bar prices; room was too warm even with heating off so opened the window/door, only to be woken up very early by LEAF BLOWERS, would you believe, clearing the golf greens. Room was actually quite noisy all round, considering the cost.

Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice. Room was very comfortable with lovely view from balcony … dinner was good but we did have to send our steak back because it was undercooked.

It was cold in the bar, had to keep my coat on. Had to wait about 20 minutes to be served a drink. Only one member of staff on, on a Saturday !?

the breakfast has been scaled back since we went last year - sad to see the waffles have disappeared! The xams party was a bit noisy up around midnight

The breakfast was fab, lots of choice & the swimming facilities, sauna & pool were great- kids loved it. Due to the time of year we went the Christmas deco was up - looked so pretty.They had kids activities too
