    Pros +

    • Great location.
    • Location excellent. Building very dated inside Rooms clean but very tired
    • The hotel was easy to find and had free parking, check-in was smooth and the staff on the desk were very friendly on arrival, the room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was very comfortable.

    Cons -

    • Parking is not good. There were no spots for several hours after we arrived, and little was done to accommodate that. Bar/restaurant service was inadequate; that's the nicest word for it.
    • Rooms and corridors tired and dated
    • The sound-proofing was basically non-existent, the windows must have been single-pane because I could hear every passer-by and car on the road as if I were sleeping on the ground floor with the window open; the floors are also uneven and creaky, meaning you can hear whenever anyone moves in the rooms above. The shower was tepid and the drainage poor enough that the water pools around your feet to your ankles.

Didn’t realise continental breakfast was included in price- bonus.Proximity to town and shops excellent.Good car park.Bar and restaurant staff were really friendly and professional.

Daughters room was really cold initially. When reported someone said ‘bless’ . Later were told all heating on a timer. No assistance .10pm we somehow managed to switch it on on our own.Furniture in rooms looked really cheap. Bargain basement cheap.Bar shut at1 0pm.

Room 1 bed, uncomfortable, new mattress required, was noted at reception to rectify.

Very friendly and helpful staff, very old qwerky building with lots of character, very clean, free parking permits for guests. Wonderful bar with log fireGreat value for money

Nothing horrendous or that bad, just a bit dated decor and electric heater in the room but on such an old building it's expected.

We always enjoy breaking our journey by staying overnight at the Bell. The staff are always so welcoming and friendly. The inn is nice and handy for the abbey.

Great location ,very friendly staff easy to park could walk to my favourite restaurant.Had a nice beer later in the bar .I slept well nice and quiet despite not being empty

Well I did not have the breakfast partly as did not want to spend £12 which for me felt a little too much maybe an idea to offer cheaper continental breakfast option for those who don’t want the full English ?

We went to visit the Tewkesbury winter ales festival. We were able to walk to the festival within 5 minutes. This is a good, quiet location, near the main High Street. The staff were all very friendly and efficient and the breakfast was excellent. The beds were comfortable in our family room.

The hot water in the bathroom was almost boiling! The shower could have been better: water seemed to be either very hot or not hot. The car park was full, and is shared with some private properties, but parking is provided for free. Overall it was a good stay.

The staff, the location and the parking.

Very small, cramped room. Noisy fan in bathroom and noise from the extractor fan. Bathroom cold.

    Handy location.

Very creaky floorboards. Looks like it’s rented out by the hour, decor was dodgy (green velour curtains?? ) we could hear the person in the room on the floor below coughing and even breaking wind, uncomfortable bed, worst nights sleep ever - good job we were leaving early anyway for a business meeting as we would’ve been out of there quick sharp. Stairs on the carpet were interesting too….

    Location

Very noisy creaky floor above our room while we were in bed at night and middle of night and woke us up
