Pros +
- The bed was comfortable, and there were plenty of draws to store clothes. The weather was incredible hot, so we were grateful for the fan. Reception staff were very helpful and suggested that we could have a sheet instead of a quilt on the bed. At breakfast thee was a selection of cereals, yogurts and fruit. A chef was waiting to take orders for eggs, however we wanted them to be cooked. The hotel is set back from the road so there is no traffic noise. This meant that we could keep all the windows open all night. The hotel is surrounded by a golf course. There was plenty of parking. About 10 minutes walk away was a pub, a Thai Restaurant and a few shops. It took 30 minutes to walk to the beach, but it was worth it.
- Very comfortable quiet clean Hotel with lots of places to sit and relax. The Hotel is in a great location with free parking. Food was good, staff were very helpful and the hotel had great facilities... Swimming Pool, Tennis, Gym and Golf. In the 19th Hole you could watch Sky Sports
- Size of room and shower.
Cons -
- The room was rather cramped, as the bed took up most of the space. Some of the towels looked dirty when we arrived.
- No air conditioning.
- Location and very quiet away from busy roads.

No air conditioning.
There were gym and pool facilities, everywhere was clean with staff visible and available. Room was cleaned.
Location and very quiet away from busy roads.
Close to train station, good facilities
Too warm in room
The welcome and checking in was very efficient and quick. Room was better than expected.Personal service by cook for hot food at breakfast.
Access to 2nd floor was via an ancient and very small lift, could only just about fit in 2 people with luggage.Very long walk to room from lift, which wasnt a problem for us, but people with mobility issues may not appreciate that.We were asked about having a meal at the hotel, but there was no menu available in the room.Breakfast experience could have been better because:-a] Crockery and cutlery at breakfast was NOT clean. Water stains on cutlery and there was a small pile of cups and dishes that were dirty and accessible.b] Operating with two domestic style toasters was very time consumingc] We needed assistance to operate the drinks machine. Staff assisted, but were very dismissive.
Please change your the way you advertise the rooms, I couldn’t cancel but would have on finding out it only had one bed.
It was advertised as a standard family room, but only comes with one bed. Luckily they did call and mention that, so offered the fold out couch, but that was so uncomfortable my sister and I ended up sharing the main bed.
Barman was friendly. Breakfast staff friendly. Bed comfy and nice big shower. Close to the beach about a 5 minute walk and close to The Village pub which was busy on a Friday night.
I came for a relaxing few days away and was going to stay at the country club as I really wanted to use a pool. Too many stupid regulations for lone swimming. I couldn't use it. 8.30-9.30. 14.30 ,15.30 and 18.30- 19.30 are the only times you can swim. Not stated on booking. Com. If there is nobody in the pool you can't swim. People are not allowed to swim when eaten. If you look at the times breakfast time, dinner time or out in the day. Stupid. I experienced sudden death of my partner and really needed a pool to relax. Some other gentleman complained because on Thursday swimming lessons take the whole pool up. But they allowed me to swim which was fine.It is fair to say I will not be staying here again. It was a waste of my money. If you play golf ⛳️ it's great. Cromer town centre 15 minute drive.
Great hotel good facilities and very quiet.
Check in is very slow there is quite a lot from filling. When i returned the following evening to collect my key there was a couple checking in and filling the forms out. It took ages and they also had a number of questions , I was standing there for 10 minutes. The girl at the desk could have just handed me my key but she didn't and she was the same person who checked me in earlier.
Very near train station lovely views and walks
Lovely large clean room with view of the sea. Welcoming, helpful staff and lovely clean pool. Would definitely return.
Good location,good staff
Cleanliness of the crockery and cutlery,in room and restaurant.dirty tea stained window sill.ring stains on dining tables..not wiped or cleaned before resetting.....was not winning 4 in a bed...
Excellent staff enjoyed pool and gymdidn’t eat at hotel room great. Wi fi much better than last time I visited .TV a bit small.
room upgrade nice, staff pleasant, reception very helpful, room service also good.
Dining room / dinner , noisy, wine glass looking dusty and clearly smudged. Desert very dissapointing, sent it back having asked for vanilla cheesecake with fresh raspberrys. What i received appeared to be a digestive biscuit broken into crumbs with i think a small piece of merangue and some sauce raspberry i assume.
Great location - really quiet at night. Fantastic room, nice bar, good parking for disabled folk. Lift for elderly/disabled. Rail station close by, village pub close by also.
The rooms were very comfortable, and well appointed. The only ‘issue’ was the getting the key and needing to drop it back in when leaving. It was a bit annoying waiting around for it.
The pool is a great facility and the breakfast
As some other reviews have mentioned there was very poor insulation in our room, another room was built into it as it was a corner room which meant that you could hear everything, other guest turning on the bathroom light, their alarm at 7am, their tv…this was mentioned to reception as it happened on the final night. They said they’ve not had this problem before, but as said other reviews mention it. For the price point this is disappointing as it disturbed our relaxation and sleep in the room.
Breakfast and food was very good. Location was good.
Was disappointed to find our garden room was not in the garden but in a passageway.
Loved the old building. Fabulous grounds, swimming pool.
Mattress could be better.
I liked the area as this hotel is located in a beautiful part of Norfolk. The room was spacious and had everything I needed for a short stay. It is extremely good value.
