Pros +
- Clean and comfortable
- Location - near family members. Also as a breakfast hamper now provided we had a fridge in our room with fresh milk for tea, coffee and muesli.
- Room and facilities good. and clean, decent bar and outdoor area. Staff friendly and helpful.
Cons -
- Room in an obvious transition, needs some work still in this transition, price point too high at this time. Breakfast price too high.
- Nothing to comment on.
- Breakfast was poor. You expect bookings in B&B's to include a cooked breakfast when they state breakfast included, but instead it was a very poor continental breakfast basket.

The hotel itself is beautiful in a stunning location. The room was spacious and clean.
A bit disappointed in the breakfast situation. Had booked as a Birthday treat and when booked it indicated a cooked breakfast. We were told in advance it would be replaced with a hamper. Although the hamper was ok, it did take the shine off waking up at the seaside on my birthday and preparing breakfast in the room. It felt a lesser value for money as breakfast included was a draw.
Easy to find and staff so friendly and helpful. They even found a safe place for our bikes as we were cycle touring . No need to leave the hotel as they had a very good bar and restaurant. They even added a new cocktail to their list for us which was a gimlet . Delicious. We were all given family rooms so plenty room and beds ( 3 per couple!) Showers very hot and a breakfast hamper in each of our rooms , though the manager was happy to make us coffees in the bar area in the morning before we left.
Very comfortable big room, easy parking, helpful staff and lovely complimentary guest & breakfast hamper. Was also great to have a fridge.
We did have trouble with the shower, water just stopped and wasn't very hot.
Stayed many times but just taken over by new company
They do not do cooked breakfast anymore, just a complimentary box in the bedroom. Had to stop on way home to eat something.
Central location.Great views out to sea.
Not being able to have a hot shower. There’s huge problems when it comes to water pressure. No hot water whatsoever and the cold water was very intermittent.
location perfect, decor and look fantastic, food amazing
family room had no water pressure unable to have a shower… and there 3 nights!! had to only have a bath when the cold water came through… NEED TO SORT
This was our third stay. Absolutely love it here. Staff really friendly and welcoming. Warm and comfortable.
Carvery was okay but we waited a long time for our drinks to arrive, we'd finished dinner and they finally turned up.Nice shower and warm, cosy room. We were grateful for the muesli and dried fruit in the breakfast hamper which was included in the room.
Didn't reply to our emails. We arrived and the manager continued his phone call and gave us the key, at no point apologising for his engagement. He pointed us up the stairs and to the right.Food was okay but we waited a long time for our drinks to arrive, we'd finished dinner and they finally turned up.Loud music and piano from the bar went on until about midnight.Unfortunately everyone from the bar came back to their rooms and turned on their TVs. An existing door that bridged two rooms was cheaply covered with plywood that barely kept out any sound. You can hear entire conversations of the people in the room next door even at speaking volume.Blood staines on sheets.
Good location, comfy bed, very quiet area
Bathroom was a little tatty
Where the hotel was situated in the village. The view from the bedroom window. The basket within the room although we didn’t use it.
The sound from other rooms sometimes, doors when they closed were load and although i like dogs and would think about bringing my own dog another time, the barking wasn’t nice to listen to at 6am in the morning.
Everything was fabulous, location, the note & room, staff, food, very comfortableOnly two slight minor issuesVery slight distant pulsing sounds I suspect was coming from the air con or heating ducts outside my window, even with window shut I could just about hear it, took a while to fall asleepAlso as others have mentioned, I wish they had a cooked breakfast, otherwise, genuinely lovely place
A basket full of prepacked food was not a breakfast.Bathroom needs updating.
A cooked breakfast in the dining room
Location
The en suite bathroom was grubby and dangerous. The electric shower was open at the side to potential water intrusion. The heated towel rail had an electric connection held together with tape and part of it was open to potential water and moisture.

Very comfy room, well furnished, great breakfast. Easy parking. Lovely views!
As it was a pub/restaurant below, there was a bit of noise from a party, but we expect this and didn't mind, otherwise we would have looked at a different type of accommodation. And it didn't go on late. But worth other people knowing in case they want a guaranteed quiet place to stay.
Refused to give vat for booking .. I have now paid for 5 rooms and cannot retrieve back from my company because they won't provide receipt
The room was very clean and comfortable the evening meal was very tasty and the staff was friendly , hamper was ok, but would much rather have had a cooked breakfast,
Our rooms 12 and 14 were at the front of the property, and the music in the bar and the doors swinging shut went on until past 1am , loud guests leaving the place at 1 30 , staff and guests standing outside talking very loudly does not allow a good nights sleep. I did go down and say about the music and the young man behind the bar said they were licensed until 1am which I don’t feel is necessary, would have been better to employ someone to cook a breakfast and shut the bar at 11.
