Lovely seashore property ,great atmosphere The views we’re fabulous and the food extremely good
Our room was small Would have liked a fridge
Fantastic location, lots of seating inside and outside. Our roomWas rather small and as it was hot weather we struggled to get cool.Staff were excellent, we inadvertently left an iPad behind and they phoned to let us know and placed it in the safe for safekeeping.
The corridor to the bedrooms was dark, past the kitchen and grubby, not very inviting, the carpeted stairs and landing carpet was grubby and stained, walls bashed, cobwebs on walls and scruffy. Once in the room it was nicely decorated with nice touches like the heated mirror and tasteful decor.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean and cosy. They make a great classic English breakfast.
The stairs and corridors are a bit of an afterthought.
Fantastic place to stay.pet friendly Staff were amazing Goor food
Breakfast was amazing. Location is amazing. Not all rooms have a view, but that's fair given the price.
Beautiful location, comfortable bed & amazing food.
You can hear the sound of the sea as you go to sleep.Watching the sunset as you eat dinner.Drinking wine on the deck as you look out to sea.
The breakfast was nice, albeit the service was a little haphazard. The location is good and it certainly lives up to the name.
The room and bathroom felt cramped; the bed was equally small and there wasn't a fridge facility available. The hallways look tired and could do with a refresh.
Lovely friendly staff, fantastic location and view, great food.
Staff pleasant, room small but comfortable with good facilities. Great location, easy to park and great views. Cooked breakfast was tasty.
Food was comparable to Wetherspoons but triple their prices. The menu read as if it was gastro pub with proper chef prepared food but sadly lacking. Waited 45 mins when only few people were eating, for chips and korean Chicken burger which was small, no garnish/slaw and i couldn't see anything korean about it. Tasty cooked breakfast, one plate only with juice or coffee/tea and no option to have yoghurt or cereal as well, as i have been offered elsewhere. Didn't feel a premium stay but may be cut backs expected due to financial climate. Unfortunately, no barista style coffee, only an urn and lyons coffee bags or tea and no where to put spent bags other than aside your cup. Milk was left in supermarket carton and staff refilling juice jug with cheap orange juice, no quality here. Dead daffodils still left in vases on tables as we ate. In our room you could write your name in dust on shelf above bed and hanging head cushions had thick white dust between the hanging straps. The corridor from bar to access stairs, to the rooms, was covered in bits from guest/staff footfall but was still there 24 hrs later so no quick hoover to keep things smart. Most of these niggles are easily fixable if staff were monitoring quality, they didn't seem to work together or be directed as a team, very laid back. Not value for money for me on this occasion.
Excellent location and very friendly and helpful staffGood breakfast choices
Wonderful location with beautiful views, pleasant staff and good food, just needs a bit of maintenance to make it better, our shower in our room (Portwrinkle) was loose and felt like it might falloff the wall if you tried to adjust it.
View always stunning. Room comfortable. Staff extremely helpful and friendly
Can’t think of anything although the pub itself could do with a refresh of decor but this didn’t spoil our stay.
Location was good right on the beachStaff were friendly and helpful The food was good
Bedroom was so small not a superior room.Booked a sea view room but had to keep blind down all the time when in room as over looked beer garden and path to beach.Plumbing so noisy when turning on tapsHad to take it in turn in bathroom as so small Bed seemed a small double Property was in poor repair in places damaged plaster in corridor generally looked tired.Service was slow mainly at breakfast time
Great location right on the beach, especially if you have a dog as we do. The village had no real amenities. The staff were wonderful, the food, especially breakfast was amazingly good, and the staff and service was lovely. Nice atmosphere. Our room was very small but clean with a good shower. Overall a great stay, though the back of house, and upstairs are a bit tired. In need of an up lift.
Incredible location, right over the beach. Perfect to go walk the dog in the morning just a few steps down. Room was stunning, overlooking the beach, falling asleep with the sound of the waves!
Great position on the coast , very good food , helpful staff and we very much enjoyed our stay
