    • Everything
    • Location and rooms.Spa .
    • Breakfast was fabulous,

    Cons -

    • Drive down the cliff but needs must !
    • Dinner menu was quite bland and either too salty or tasteless
    • The included breakfast is only a continental breakfast and you have to pay extra for cooked items, felt like that was a bit misleading to be honest. They forgot to update the room key card with my extended check-out which meant I was locked out of my room on the 3rd floor. Despite letting staff know on 3rd floor they said I had to go all the way back to reception to deal with it myself. Not very helpful! The balcony door didn't open and close properly, we got someone to look at it and they just said it's hard to open. Not a great fix...

Lovely hotel with good spa facilities. The Restaurant serves good breakfast and evening meals.Would use again.

Very comfortable modern rooms. Dinner in the restaurant was really classy though rather pricey. Very impressed with the breakfast buffet. No need to order a cooked breakfast.

    Everything, location, vibe, comfort facilities

Some of the staff had dirty trainers and looked old tatty, some of the staff were young and undertrained. Missed important details needs a bit more training.

clean modern and in a fantastic locatiom.

We were disappointed with the balcony. our room was on the ground floor so the view was nit great. Surprised to have to pay ectra for a hot breakfast on top of pricey accommodation as it only said breakfast included on website. I was also disappointed to see 2 female guests having lunch on the terrace wearing bathrobes. I was led to believe the dress code was smart casual.

Great hotel, rooms were beautiful. Lovely touch with the Salcombe Gin in the rooms. We had the bonus of an upgrade on arrival so benefitted from beautiful sea view. Great spa, friendly and helpful staff, the food was great.

The same as everyone else - the need to pay extra for cooked breakfast . We didnt - and the continental was lovely.

Location, location, location! The design and ambience of the hotel exude character and a modern holiday feel.It is classy, yet smart casual and such a tranquil therapeutic place with glorious views.

Nothing.I was fractionally disappointed with the room. Sounds petty, since our deluxe sea view was bigger than the spec. However the view was a little compromised by a wall. It was an expensive birthday treat and this was particularly important to me.Doesn’t put me off returning next year but I’ll have to check what we are allocated beforehand.

Booking.com said breakfast is breakfast at £400.00 per night is a joke included but charged extra for cooked. Bed's are the most uncomfortable I've ever had the misfortune to sleep in

It was clean and the staff were super friendly! The spa was lovely also and had a fabulous view of the beach.

The only thing I would say is the lack in staff for meal times. They seemed to be struggling and forgot to come and see us etc but that’s not their fault that’s due to lack in staffing.

Very modern hotel. Rooms are lovely with huge beds and very clean. Facilities in the hotel are exceptional with shuttle, spa and gym on offer. Good location, walkable to Salcombe town. Breakfast was really good with lots on offer and all staff were very friendly and helpful

Lovely touch left in room 70th birthday card a small box of chocolates for my husband.Staff were very accommodating especially the porter and reception staff.Excellent decor throughout.Beautiful location

Roads to the hotel!Selection of lagers on draft and bottles very limited. Not everyone like a pilsner. . Drinks were quite pricey at £6.95 per pint. Cooked breakfast should be included, not just a continental.

    10IzobelPosted on: 4-17-2025

Gorgeous views and selection of drinks. The food was fantastic, particularly the vail! Concierge Lee was fantastic, I really recommend using the shuttle bus to get into Salcombe easily. Also appreciated Lee’s quick run down of everywhere to visit.Beds were also very comfortable and massive!

Great customer service from the staff from the moment we arrived in the car park! The free gin in the room was a nice touch. The room was great.

A fantastic location. Staff were wonder and the food was excellent

    10PaulinePosted on: 4-13-2025

I had an absolutely incredible stay at this hotel! The location is unbeatable, with stunning views overlooking the beach and waking up to the view was pure bliss. The bed was so comfortable, I slept like a dream! The pool area is beautifully maintained and perfect for relaxing, and I can’t recommend the spa enough. Chloe gave me a fantastic massage. She was professional, attentive, and truly worked wonders. What really made the experience unforgettable was the staff. Every single person I encountered was warm, friendly, and went out of their way to make my stay perfect. Don’t leave without trying their amazing cocktails! Highly recommended - I’ll definitely be coming back!

    Nothing!

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were wonderful and welcoming and very helpful. The beds were huge and very comfortable. The spa facilities were excellent and very relaxing. The food at the restaurant was a disappointing consider the high prices. The continental breakfast was complimentary, which would be expected given the room cost but this was also disappointing and very limited and so had to pay extra for hot food. The shower in our room leaked but was otherwise very nice.

    8SarahPosted on: 4-10-2025

    Excellent spa facilities and location

Food and beverage service was below standard expected. Poorly organised and seems to be lack of training and supervision. Also, it wasn't clear when booking that cooked breakfast is not included in the price of the room.

Very comfortable room with stunning view over the beach and estuary. A quieter location than Salcombe but great access to the coastal path for fantastic walking
