King Hotel Tenterden

Location good.

Nobody on reception on arrival. Lots of baled up laundry filled one area. Issues with feeling harassed for payment two days before arrival. So much so we thought we were being scammed as did our bank. Only facility was the Indian restaurant which was opposite our door so room had curry smell. There was black mold starting to form in shower and pedal off the bin on floor. Minimal supplies of tea, coffee and milk and no cafe to get anything. At the end of the path to disability car park the edging stone has been knocked out so was a tripping hazard and difficult to negotiate with a rolator walking aid. Grounds appeared shabby with debris in an area next to car park. Felt neglected. Declined breakfast as reviews weren't good. No menu in room either.

Spacious clean room with a comfortable bed. And the Indian restaurant next door.

Quite warm in the room at night

Excellent Indian restaurant which is part of the Hotel run by Asians and very busy in the evening, hence NO staff manning reception.

Poor heating. Its no good room heating at 3am then off, including heated towel rail in very cold en suite. Get the timings right Needed more pillows on large bed.

Only full English offered - and as a non-meat eater I declined.However, that did me a favour as I found a lovely cafe/in Biddenden

Carpark - just gravely with puddles - no flower borders or shrubs to give a softer impression.

Rooms attached to a restaurant, seemed like an afterthought

Loved the facility’s, was rather late for check in but was welcomed by a friendly receptionist at the front counter. Check in and check out very straightforward.

The room was clean and shower was so good.

We didn’t know if Iplayer works or not and I asked two staff but none of them said they don’t know.

Staff were excellent, breakfast was extremely good quality and well worth it.

Its hard to get a taxi in the area, but that's not the hotels fault

Perfect for the location we desired and ideal for our needs. Staff were very good with our requests and the facilities were great. Breakfast was great and we enjoyed our stay.

Confusion at the check in with our dates etc. which seemed to take ages to resolve and had to make a number of phone calls even after presenting our booking.com documentation. It was resolved but not convinced the staff at check in were convinced.

Loud, tv’s and staff talking in their own language not English outside hotel rooms and reception

Absolutely terrible Asian owned hotel

Loud staff constantly shouting, tv in reception constantly loud. Will never return. NO SLEEPI wouldn’t go if I were you, you have been warned

Friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. I was staying on my own to visit my husband who was in the nearby hospital and I was made to feel very welcome. The staff were very accommodating and made my stay a comfortable one for an elderly lady staying on her own.

No complaints, friendly staff

The coffee wasn’t topped up the next day, however when I asked them for some more they delivered within 5 mins.

Had a great 3 night stay here for work. The room was clean and tidy.

Rooms not sound proofed could hear the tv in the next room and his conversation with his wife

Very clean and a good location to get to Benenden Hospital.

We had a problem with the television also the plug in the bathroom sink wouldn't stay down.

It was a beautiful hotel x the staff were very kind and thoughtful. The food in the restaurant was excellent.

It was a couple of miles outside Tenterdon and the buses were useless and trying to get a cab could be difficult and expensive. But that’s not the hotels fault.

It was very close to the hospital, my next destination

I could have done with a shower mat to stand on in the shower and a hair dryer.
