The Three Horseshoes Hotel

Great stay once again and the staff work so hard. Great evening meal too. Nicely situated for The Witham where we attended an evening concert.

Rooms was very comfortable, breakfast was very good.

Room was very hot and the heating wouldnt go off.

We were at a wedding most of the time and didn’t see much but what we saw was good. The breakfast was good

It was difficult finding where the carpark was situated and access to the 3 horse shoes from the carpark. We then had to walk from the main building across roads to a separate accommodation building carrying bags etc. if it had been raining it would have been really bad. However we found street parking next to our accommodation. If we had known about this from the beginning it would have improved the situation a lot.

It was lovely and clean with a good size room and a comfortable bed. We were given the key early which was great and managed to park in the car park.The hotel is extremely central and looks like the nicest choice for a hotel stay in Barnard Castle. The breakfast was very nice with a good selection of cereal/fruit a yoghurt a very nice pot of coffee and a surprisingly good choice of hot breakfasts included in the room price. We chose a vegetarian breakfast and eggs Florentine which were both really good.

It was a bit noisy until about 11pm being in a pub and in the town but honestly that's to be expected.

Comfy room, looks newly refurbished. Quiet at night. Great shower with lots of hot water. Bed was lovely and comfortable. Good tasty breakfast.

Great accommodation in central location. Spacious rooms, spotlessly clean, friendly and helpful staff, great food and lovely atmosphere.

It was warm, homely, friendly staff. The bar and restaurant’s popular with the locals and we could see why. Delicious food and great selection of drinks.

We stayed last year when we were in the area for a wedding, however didn't get that much time to spend at the hotel. However, we thought we'd return. We did, and stayed on 6 February for 1 night and we weren't disappointed.Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic. I'm a picky eater and had the chicken kebab, which was lovely. My husband had the baked cod. It isn't something I'd ever choose, but tried some. It was one of the best meals I've had. We ended up sharing!!!There's so much choice for breakfast, and the quality of food was excellent.The room was clean, tidy and had everything you would need.The staff also go out of their way to make your stay a good one - thank you

Friendly welcoming staff, room was warm (January),bed very comfortable, all very clean. Our room was in separate building (coach house?) but close to main building and nice and quiet. Good food in restaurant. Live music on the Friday night a nice bonus.

Good vibe in bar and restaurant both of which were busy on Monday evening. Fair prices and excellent menu choices included daily specials. Breakfast was excellent.Comfortable and warm bedroom just the ticket on cold winter get away trip.

Breakfast, dinner good. Very nice fish and chips.

No choice of pillows very hard. Bathroom very cold could not turn on radiator. New carpets on stairs and on room 7, could still smell the glue.

The room had everything needed for a comfortable stay. We chose the location across the road from the main hotel so that we were not bothered by noise as we needed an early night. The breakfast was very tasty.
