Sentimental reasons for visit, Mum had liked the place.Squeaky floorboards, a bit higgledy piggledly re floor layout which I loved, all the staff lovely, I’m a waitress, and noticed lots of details at breakfast service which suggested generosity.

Can’t think of anything

The room was large with a comfortable bed. Sadly there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, I mentioned this on departure and hopefully it has now been sorted out.I found the breakfast disappointing the scrambled eggs were obviously not cooked freshly as they resembled rubber.Could do with a choice of herbal tea in room rather than just tea and coffee.

We only stayed for one night for a family event so didn’t really use any of the facilities. However, we managed to leave some clothing in the room and I was very grateful for the help in finding them and storing them until I could collect them some weeks later

No lift to the first floor. No shelving in bathroom to accommodate one's washing shaving items.

The room was quiet, well equipped and warm.The staff were warm and welcoming.The evening meal was exquisite.

This hotel was so dog friendly! We bought our puppy here for his first night away and it was the perfect spot! We were nervous about how he would be with such new experiences like eating out and sleeping in a new place but staff were great with him, all saying hello and making sure he had a water bowl at the table. Rooms were spotless with so much storage space, plenty of tea and coffee in the room and nice big tv. We had a room with a patio so that it would be easy to take the puppy out and also made use of their enclosed dog paddock which is such a lovely facility to include! Ollie was very grateful for his little doggy gift bag!

Well located and liked our room that opened straight out onto the gardens - ideal for our dog with easy access to the dog field. Shower/bathroom was particularly nice.

Just a great little hotel for us and the dog! So friendly and clean. Beds are comfortable, lovely showers. Beautiful walks on your doorstep
