Very comfortable room with great breakfast. Staff very attentive.

Location and Chracter The staff were exceptional

First room had a restricted room space due to rafters. Request for a second room was a bigger size however was freezing with no heating.

Friendl and helpful staff, room excellent and the parking was very useful. Good placing centrally in the town.

The staff were lovely and very friendly

It is in need of TLC. There was mould on the bathroom ceiling and chipped paint throughout the room.

Great location close to the New Forest but we weren’t expecting it to be on a main road. The food in the restaurant was good in the evening.

Thought it was expensive for winter rates. For a 4 star hotel, I was surprised that there was no robe or slippers or choice of coffee at breakfast.

The staff were absolutely lovely and approachable. They made us feel like we were talking to a human being not a corporate face. The hotel was lovely and very clean. At the top of the high street it’s well placed for a mooch in the shops and a laid back dinner. We really liked sitting in the library playing scrabble after dinner. 4 out of 5 couples were all in there having a drink and quietly playing a board game between them. Such a lovely thing to do.

It is lovely and cosy, very clean and the staff are very good.

The compact double room is tiny and not great value for money. Stayed in a superior room last time for only £20 more only 3 weeks ago and it was 3 times the size but the price was £50 more for this time hence we booked the compact double room. Would only stay in a superior room if the price was good.

Beautiful hotel, a few extra touches for my partners 60th, very friendly staff from front of house to cleaners. Lovely good quality breakfast. Gorgeous room

Everything! Beautiful decor and so very comfortable. Staff all very friendly and efficient. Very relaxing atmosphere. Great sleep. The shower was great! Will definitely stay again. Fantastic location

Great location and plenty of parking. Breakfast was nice.

Room facilities were poor. Curtains didn't extend to width of window. Stains on carpet. TV didn't work at all. Very frugal amenities in room. Not even a shower cap! No bottled water. Just not on par with other hotels we have stayed at.

Good service at the reception, lovely room and great in-room amenities. Great dinner at the on site restaurant. Lovely historical building in the centre of town.

Traffic bad to get to the hotel. Very busy at breakfast with staff battling to keep up with the food supply.

It is central to the town, so you can walk out visit the shops cafes etc and the New Forest is an easy drive.

I would have preferred a well priced Bistro rather than fine dining

When we arrived the room was cold But after going to reception we were given a heater which worked immediately.
