The whole experience was a delight. Superb facilities, lovely historic touches and fabulous food.Very comfy double bed and super power shower.
Minor point, accessing the wall sockets and not really being advised in the process of the dog charge.
A comfortablre, warm & welcoming hotel with happy, heloful & efficient staff. Fabulous location
Cosy bar and restaurant Staff very friendly and helpfulGreat restaurant meal and breakfast.
Room a little stark for the price, did not reflect the rest of the hotel. The wines are too expensive.
Wonderful location. At this time of the year it is a very peaceful place. Good food - dietary needs satisfied without any fuss. Staff are all friendly and helpful. It's a hotel full of character as expected, given the age of the main part of the building. Log fires, good view of the river. Lots of walks available in vicinity. Close to Motor Museum and Exbury Gardens.
"Deluxe Double" Bedroom could have done with comfier chairs and a shower. However, I had not specified our needs when I booked so not really the hotel's fault. We knew it's a quirky building, being the age it is! (That is part of the charm).
Lovely location and would have liked time to explore but we were attending a wedding elsewhere.
Room was very small and not lit very well, hair dryer blew up, breakfast was OK. Wasn't impressed that coffee other than in a coffee pot was extra.
Loved the location, staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return. Food was good. Breakfast was great.
disappointing
hotel was closed for a wedding, only had use of our room and adjoining pub. our room was located above a noisy generator that ran all night long, did not sleep. staff uncaring
We loved the venue, and we spent the day in Bucklers. Hard, we went on the boat. When we booked into the hotel, the staff are very welcoming. the staff in Henry's pub/restaurant were excellent the food is very good.
We like the whole experience. We even had good weather.
Hotel location is very good, room was tidy and clean. Car park was excellent, level and always easy to park.
No mention was made before booking about the steep steps and strong fire doors to the loft, where our room was located, especially trying when carrying a case. Meals were ok, however quantity of cooked breakfast varied from day to day.
Room: very basic and bed vey uncomfortable. A very basic room.Breakfast and dinner: poor. Breakfast, both porridge and scrambled egg on toast served simultaneously and both cold. Service slow and mostly unprofessional. Dinner expensive and a disappointing menu. Location good overlooking the river.

The staff were excellent. The breakfast was fantastic. Top cleanliness throughout. Exceptional location. Good parking.
Staff were very friendly and professional and it is in a beautiful location. Food - both dinner and breakfast were excellent.
The room was small and the shower power switch was also for the towel rail so, particularly on a hot day and with no aircon in the room using the bathroom was more like being in a sauna!
Beautiful location.Great staff.Good restaurant
The location is beautiful and the staff are very welcoming. The room was clean and there was a welcome message and complimentary water and snacks upon arrival, which was a great touch
Excellent location by the river. Great walks. Dog welcome in all areas of the hotel and well provided for in the room. Staff warmed up to us over the three days. Receptionist personally picked up our paper every day.Chef made a very good effort to provide alternate vegetarian food. Very good breakfasts. Comfortable bed. Good shower.
First room (No7) was by the boilers and was noisy all night. Moved us to another room without any fuss.Rooms are very small and stuffy in warmer weather. Bathroom was very cramped. Need more hooks on the back of the bathroom door.Menu for vegetarian food was limited.
Great location. Friendly staff. Good food.
Amazing breakfast and dinner, very cute hotel and lovely staff. I recommend.
