Set back from the road and overlooking open forest, it’s the perfect base for exploring this unique corner of England. Free private on-site parking is available. Our aim is to combine relaxed hospitality with attentive service and quality bed-and-breakfast comfort. All rooms include a TV, while selected rooms feature a king-size bed, sofa, and whirlpool bath for an extra touch of luxury. Our restaurant serves freshly prepared dishes made with locally sourced produce wherever possible, alongside home-baked bread, indulgent puddings, and a creative vegetarian menu. The hotel is entirely nonsmoking and features a secure bike shed, making it ideal for cycling holidays in the New Forest. Please note, there is no elevator and access involves two flights of stairs. Dogs are welcome for an additional £6 per night.

Heating and hot water was not working in the bathroom. Poor furnishings, dirty worn carpets, shocking entrance, damp smelling, run down. Restaurant closed on Saturday night.
Welcoming staff, comfortable room with nice ensuite and good shower. Dedicated off road parking. Good central position for attractions and easy walk into Lyndhurst, with walks accessible to the New Forest. Excellent breakfast. We had dinner the two nights we stayed and highly recommend the curry, all meals were good value for money.

Room was a good size and plenty of parking.
Cleanliness in the bathroom (shower plug was blocked and loo not flushing properly) and the breakfast was below average. Door was left unlocked after cleaners serviced the room.

Tiny box room. Bathroom window not obscured glass so anyone could see in. Dirty door handles and surrounds Dirty light switch surrounds.
Great location, room clean and very nice staff.
The actual cooked breakfast was really nice but there was no cereal ,fruit etc. Rather than actual juice they proved orange squash and weak at that. No atmosphere in the hotel
This is our second visit this year to the Ormonde House Hotel !Again, the room was excellent - very clean and tidy, and well stocked with Tea/Coffee.Breakfast was really good too.The hotel is a fantastic base for exploring the New Forest, and the surrounding areas.

The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and the facilities in the room were ideal, the SPA bath was a nice touch

Doors slamming at 6 / 7am could do with something to top it slamming and food have bit more taste to it
It was comfortable and cosy. The breakfast and evening meal ordered I advance was served fresh and piping hot. Much better than a buffet. My mobility issues catered for with a room on the ground floor. The staff were very solicitous making sure we had everything we needed.
It is looking careworn. The front door was very battered and the place needed decorating. A dog friendly hotel and most guests seemed to have dogs. Might put people off if they aren’t keen on dogs. However, they didn’t impact our stay.
Great location, just 10 min walk into Lyndhurst. Good sized room, with comfortable bed, I slept really well. Great bathroom with amazing shower. Great little bar and restaurant serving great food, wine and the kathmandu beer is a must! Very clean, no dust anywhere. Room was properly cleaned. Very well stocked tea and coffee tray
Nothing we didn't like really. Would been good if there was a light over the bathroom mirror and another lamp in the bedroom, minor issue, couldn't fault it really

In need of an update, paintwork and carpets need renewing. Towel rail didn't work and couldn't get the radiator to work although it wasn't particularly cold.Quilt not very thick. Need to offer continental breakfast as well as cooked.
