    Pros +

    • Friendly staff and helpful.Good breakfast service.
    • Beachfront Hotel, comfortable room, good breakfast, evening meals were ok .. but very limited choice. Free Ferry crossings, easy parking and EV charger on site.
    • The hotel is in a decent location with parking available. THe staff are really friendly and are always willing to help you. The Beach is also right infront of the hotel which makes it feel like its a private beach all to yourself. Especially between the hours of 6am and 10am. Lots of places to go to nearby that being restaurants for all dietary requirements as well as the pier. (In our view after travelling the island, it is the best pier there :). In the morning there is a communial balcony which you can enjoy drinks with the full view of the sea side. Even if you do not get a sea front view room, this makes up for it! The hotel is a decent size which can accommodate large groups, ideal for large family getaways. The pool and jacuzzi are increadibly clean as they are maintained on a daily basis. It certainly met our requirements :)

    Cons -

    • Our room faced the high street and the window did not close properly so quite noisy .
    • Hotel was very tired, like stepping back 75 years! If you have mobility issues beware - about 22 steps to the lift from reception! Hardly any other guests. Room wasn't serviced despite asking twice - eventually handed clean towels by reception! "Indoor pool" was grimy and could not be used independently. Weather was dreadful .. blowing a gale and raining! Resort was dismal. Abandoned, boarded up properties everywhere. Shops mainly closed even on a Saturday! Nothing to do apart from one pub which was open! Thank goodness we had a car!
    • The breakfast times is really short, could be longer. The pool times could be extended to 6am for those that are early birds. These are small things but they can make a big difference to people.

Immaculate cleanliness wise! Staff were fabulous. I can’t think of any thing else!

Dated hotel in run down area with a lot of closed businesses and hotels standing empty, one being burnt out. Very out dated decor, very few guests in a huge hotel. Systems were out of the 80’s

    Location

The fact that the hotel was literally EMPTY and yet they refused to give me a DECENT VIEW OF THE SEA THAT I HAD PAID FOR! UNBELIEVABLE I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY AS I WAS TREATED WITH OUTMOST DISRESPECT! I am glad I CANCELLED THE REST OF MY STAY! Never witnessed such meanness & rudeness in my entire traveling life experience! I took picture to share!

    Sea view.

Reception Staff were inattentive, didn't seem interested in our problems.Very limited bathroom wash products, only 2 very small bottles for 2 persons for 3 nights stay. Very disappointing sound proofing as could hear next rooms T.V. from 6.30am until around midnight!!Booking of hotel stated it had a lift, yes it did but you had a flight of stairs to get to it on next floor, followed by random steps to your room.Dinner set menu very limited and repeated every day, we ate out every day.Not impressed so won't be back.

    Lovely room overlooking the beach

Parking was like musical chairs, we parked in the overflow car park just round the corner instead, perfect

    8DanielPosted on: 11-10-2024

Cheap, good value for money, great location on the sea front and close to the main street for bars and restaurants

    9AlanPosted on: 11-6-2024

    The view from the room.

£16 for breakfast is exorbitant. We went to the cafe "Kate Cottage in the High Street where we got cooked breakfasts at less than half the price.

-Location great-Easy to get to-Very clean and tidy -Ferry was included-Staff were helpful-Pool and spa was nice-Had charm

    - Decor was a little dated and felt like something out of the shining, but it had charm and character and was clean. - Room was nice, but bed too small, would have liked bigger bed.- Pool lovely but on cold side.- Was disappointed as really thought it was bed and breakfast basis and that is why i booked here.-Breakfast very expensive for what it was, so ate elsewhere rest of time. -Ordered an evening meal, i understand that hotel was closing up and running down stock so completely understand that they ran out and full choices werent available, however what my family did have was bland, boring, tasteless and not worth the money

    9CarolPosted on: 11-4-2024

The location was perfect for walking the coastal footpath, excellent bus service, and with the added bonus of a whirlpool to ease the aching limbs on return to the hotel.

Couldn’t fault the hotel for its charm, but it was noisy, which I assumed came from the local youth shouting and noisy cars.

As soon as I checked in it was well explained the carpark the pool hot tub was superb and they lend u towels for the poolx it was all lovely and clean not a cobwebs in sight exceptional the staff from reception to bar to cleaners very friendly and polite X will highly recommend already looking into going back next year even better with the hotel paying and booking the ferry so never had to organise that really really pleased the whole family the room and bathroom were so clean and superb could not fault a thing from booking to coming home thankyou Sandringham hotel very much and red funnel was excellent too and the view from the room /balcony was exceptional

The room was clean and comfortable, the lounge was comfortable and quiet, the view was beautiful from the lounge balcony.

The pool was absolutely freezing we couldn’t stay in it long. The breakfast was very expensive and very limited. We were given one very small glass of juice each, there was no self service for toast or cereal and the cooked breakfast was small.

Long weekend at Sandringham Hotel;Friendly, helpful staff.Exceptional cleanliness, daily clean towels, tidying of room, bathroom Great locationEasy parkingAppreciate great value with ferry travel included.

No entertainment - would be good if had folk/jazz clubs use ballroom area - believe many who enjoy this type of entertaining would offer this at minimum cost. Encourage people not staying at hotel to come in for drinks, meals, entertainment. Also more meal choices.

Brilliant location with parking. Amazing view.Clean room lovely staff. Great facilities

The hotel rooms were a little hot and backed onto a main road. Was a little loud the Saturday night from the pubs over the road but nothing loud enough to stop you sleeping

    10AndrewPosted on: 10-26-2024

Perfect location with parking. Hotel and room were spotlessly clean. Hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. Swimming pool and jacuzzi was an added bonus. Free car ferry was very much appreciated thank you.

Nothing really. It was a perfect long weekend.
